SPLIT IT
why argue with a ghost?
It rearranged the furniture in my shell
And i let it (split it)
I didnt clean the dust where the dreams once fit
So i shifted the light from the opening
Just a little bit (split it)
Enough to convine the ghost to stay a bit
Join me, sit (split it)
I let the tea cool before i took a sip
“Yeah, thats it. Isnt it?” The ghost smirked
“What is? The split?”
“The loneliness and grit. That. I co-signed it.”
It turns out muse and misery split the rent on me.
Half heartache; half wit.
Split it.
Something Happened!
After four days of wrestling with polaroid decay—mouthwash on my hands, cutting open old film, and expecting nothing but disappointment. I finally got a result that feels right. That moment when the unexpected works? Magic.
Now I want to go even deeper. Scratching, stretching emulsions, experimenting with textures…there’s a whole rabbit hole waiting down here, and I’m ready for it.
Big question: how do I actually preserve these weird, delicate manipulations? Seal them, scan, glass, coat? No idea yet, but maybe that’s the point. Sometimes you just trust the mess and see where it leads.
Disappointment can make space for discovery. When creative energy cracks a door open, you’ve gotta just go for it.
I've Got To Open Them Up
Opening up Polaroids for my first-ever decay experiment was wild. Just using what I had, soaked instant film, and a healthy dose of “what if?” The process was messy, anxious, and weirdly fun. Sometimes the journey means letting go of perfection and just seeing what happens. Full process + reflections in my latest Substack, linked above!
"Fuck it"
Kicking off a new creative experiment: Polaroid Decay. I’m diving into the slow, unpredictable process of submerging instant photos in liquids and chemicals — documenting every step along the way. It might fail, but the journey will be worth it
I just need to go to sleep

Why do I love shooting instant film? You never know exactly what you’ll get, but every print is one of a kind. Here’s to flowers, film, and imperfect magic.
