You ever get an appointment like really fast and have to wonder if this indicative of something being wrong enough they want you in NOW or if it's just cause someone canceled their appointment

AHAHAHH so I was going through a thing in December and just so happened to have a routine appointment scheduled and bc I’d been so emotionally drained from the thing that happened, I didn’t have any energy left for the usual anxiety

So I spoke my mind and trauma dumped on my psychiatrist for the first time

I have since received 5 new diagnoses (3 were a surprise I saw on the report) and at the last appointment he said - “please book your next appointment. I want to see you again in 4 weeks maximum. Maximum. Okay?”

Meanwhile usually I have to wait months

It wasn't your job to make their dreams come true for them, or to live the life they dreamed up for you.

Your life is yours.

You know I’ve realised - it’ll never be enough to make their lives and their ‘sacrifices’ or ‘hard work’ worth it.

Because all human lives are equal. No one person is worth more than the other.

There’s nothing that you can do to make their shitty experiences worth it because your life is not more valuable than theirs and vice versa.

But if we keep sacrificing our own lives and the possibility of happiness over something that’s literally unattainable, we’ll just be doing the same thing to the generation that comes next.

The ONLY way we can make sure our lives are better is by living for ourselves instead of continuing the cycle
