damien grew up in a pretty run down neighbourhood in the south of chicago with his mom and dad who were very much in love for the first ten years of his childhood
life was hard growing up without much and damien can recall having to dig through the couch cushions for money when the lights went out because his parents hadnβt made enough to pay the bill on time
while damien remained hopeful, his parentsβ relationship began to fall apart before his eyes. the poverty was affecting both of his parents in ways that he couldnβt understand
