I'm so sorry, but I just found out that Sid liked to murder cats and now I hate him. Like how can you be such a huge piece of shit to do that?

Yup. And that's one of the reasons why many of us get so angry and grossed out when people romanticize his life and his actions. He is not a person to be idolized because of things like this. (+ the swastika thing, relationship with nancy, drug abuse etc.) Listening to the music he was involved in is fine. Finding him interesting is fine. Being inspired by him (aesthetic wise, not behaviour wise ofc) is fine. But denying or sugar coating his actions isn't. He was a probably severely mentally ill young man who really just needed help and the thought of acting like he's a perfect polished person or someone that should be idolized is extremely harmful. Just the thought of letting him become famous and stuff before even giving him a chance to get his life together is so unbelievable cruel. I never have and never will deny any of the messed up things he's done, and nobody else should do that either. Please just accept that your fav is problematic and don't romanticize or ignore abuse.
