there’s something different about the air in jeju island. jaesun could very well be biased, having grown up here, literally, around the entire island bumping along in his parent’s modestly sized tour bus. but, he’s convinced. especially given how far from the city they are for this shooting, how rural the ranch is. the air just feels more fresh. cleaner. it’s not true, of course, even the island can’t escape the dust, but jaesun doesn’t think about that. instead, he rises early in the morning, eyes squinted as he greets the camera in his room. he freshens up in the bathroom quietly as to not wake up the other cast and heads out to do the dishes like he promised he would the night before. 

he’s humming oasis’ latest title song and occasionally talking to the cameramen while he continues washing up when a car pulls up to the ranch. jaesun recognizes him as he jumps out the car and he grins, thankful to not be the only idol anymore (at least for the moment). he’s done just fine without another one alongside him, but it’s easier to riff off them without worrying about consequence or being too rude, too rowdy. it helps, too, that he’s the sunbae in this situation. a win-win all around. he’s met kwon jinsung, or sol of atlas, once or twice before, mostly backstage at music shows. he vaguely remembers the whole group introducing themselves to oasis, handing them signed cd’s and all, and he remembers just how quiet jinsung had been. it makes him wonder why he’d been invited to a variety show. but jaesun’s had more than enough practice making the shy comfortable in variety settings, and it helps that the guy’s easy on the eyes, so he figures it’ll be fine. hell, it could even be fun. 

he wears that attitude with an exaggerated jaw drop for variety effect and morphs that into a wide grin as he slides his gloves off and sets them aside. he stands up to approach their new guest and, again, exaggerates his surprise with a, “wow -- ah, hello! sol, right?” jaesun reaches up to adjust the comically large sunhat he’s insisted on wearing every day on the show despite his stylist’s protests, “from atlas, right?” he starts singing boy in luv and imitates the point dance before breaking out into another grin and throwing his arm around jinsung’s shoulder. the faster they break the ice, the better has always been jaesun’s way to go. “hyungs,” he shouts back towards the house, “we have a new maknae!” he laughs and ruffles jinsung’s hair briefly. yeah, this could be fun.

hey y’all you can call me ari, but enough abt me let’s talk jaesun! i dont have any pages set up yet because i am the actual worst, but if you want to plot or anything please just hmu and i’d love to tell you more about him! i also provided a very brief bullet point list of quick info on him underneath the cut~ anyway that’s all i have for now, i’m very excited to bring my boi to idolize and can’t wait to plot with you all!  

oasis main vocal, twenty-six, jeju born and raised 

career-wise he originally was pushed on variety for a bit, but that waned over the years 

now he’s been focusing on acting, particularly in films and musicals, though he definitely prefers films (when i can afford them heh)

personality-wise he’s confident to a fault (aka cocky), but very bright and playful, outgoing, mischievous, etc.

loves attention, craves it really, quite selfish though you’d never immediately guess it

if things don’t go his way, it affects him deeply 

so he’s actually pretty calculating under the surface to make sure things work out exactly like he wants them to 

but he comes off very chill and all go-with-the-flow like, even though it’s lowkey the opposite 

still, he’s initially very easy to befriend; a social butterfly of sorts, he’s casted his net wide to make sure he has connections in every corner

in a way that’s instead netted him some trouble in the form of light rumors every now and then that he’s a bit of a playboy, though mostly with actresses

anyway i’m very bad at this i’m sorry, but if you’re interested in plotting again i can tell you more then! <3
