The critical security bug that was fixed with the iOS 11.2.6 update was to patch an issue that caused iPhones and iPads worldwide to crash when a specific character from the Indian Telugu language was sent to devices in a message. The bug wasn’t unique to iMessage or texting, affecting any app that made use of Apple’s native text control.

A new patch to address this critical security issue is well and good, but what does that mean for the iOS 11.2.6 jailbreak to get third-party apps on iOS? As you may know, the most recently supported jailbreak for iOS devices is the Electra program for iOS 11.0-11.1.2, so we don’t currently have any clear comprehensive on download Cydia iOS 11.2.6, and when any changes are made to the operating system there is the potential to set back progress on current efforts to jailbreak iOS 11.2. Provided this new security update doesn’t change things considerably, there’s certainly a possibility that a developer could take CoolStar’s work and apply it to a new jailbreak moving forward. Not too long ago, developer of Cydiapro, XiaBo, confirmed that Cydiapro’s post exploitation patches do work below iOS 11.2.5, meaning if someone could come up with a new tfp0 exploit, we could very well have a jailbreak iOS 11.2.6. Having said that, with XiaBo being involved in an ongoing drama, we are not sure if he’s gonna work on another jailbreak after Cydiapro for iOS 11.0 - 11.1.2.

As for iOS 11.2.6, given that there’s currently no public information available on vulnerabilities and exploits that could be used for a jailbreak on iOS 11.2.5, it’s safe to assume that same applies to iOS 11.2.6 as well until someone comes out of nowhere and proves that he can download Cydia iOS 11.2.6.

With Apple now only signing iOS 11.2.6 and 11.2.5, if you are interested in jailbreaking, stay on iOS 11.0 - 11.1.2 if you are already there. There will soon be a complete jailbreak with Cydia download on it. If you are on iOS 11.2.2 or below though, then stay there instead of upgrading to 11.2.6 as we believe that 11.2.6 is the second best choice given that there are higher chance of it getting a jailbreak than iOS 11.2.5 or 11.2.6.

A fresh report has stated that a jailbreak for iOS 9 is already in the pipeline. They were able to win around $27,500 in the 2013 Mobile Pwn2Own matches and consequently bagged around $40,000 in the 2014 competition, all for hacking into the iPhone’s Safari browser. The Keen Team apparently is famous for a lot of security work and is one of the most benevolent and honorable hacker teams in the world. Yet, this much-hyped iOS 9 jailbreak will be their first, as they have not yet released an iPhone jailbreak which allows users to install their favorite Cydia Tweaks even from other sources and not only the App Store.

It is not a clear why several hacker teams are “keen” on issuing the first jailbreak for iOS 9, because any team who does then gets a lot of acception and a lot of money by fume the weaknesses in the iOS . Back up your idevice using iTunes before evasi0n7 jailbreak.

Download Cydia with evasi0n7

Download evasi0n7 to your pc.

Right click on the evasi0n7 folder and select “Extract here” to get the zip file.

Connect your idevice to the pc through a USB cable.

Right click on the extracted evasi0n7 zip file . Click “Run as administrator”

Evasi0n7 will detect your idevice. Then click “Jailbreak” button and wait for the jailbreaking.
