Option 1: Self Harm, Minor Injury Tw
"Allah Allah!" Kiraz practically flinched as the person greeted her. "Why is everyone in this town so fucking loud," She grumbled under her breath. Her spare hand had all the while been scratching away at her skin from where she had sat at a table at the Daily Drip. Only, she hadn't realized her claws had come out at the sudden shock until her nail had nicked her own skin. "Ah shit," She cussed, reaching to grab some spare napkins to press against the small cut she had just given herself. "Sorry. Just jumpy. There's a full moon tonight and all."
Option 2:
If there was one town she had wanted to stay as far away from as physically possible, it was the seaside town of Lunar Cove. Yet, here she was, the day of a full moon, shielding her eyes with the back of her hand as she followed after some bumbling tour guide as they rattled off all sorts of inaccuracies, like how before Shadow Lake dried up, it was rumored to be home to the Loch Ness Monster of all things. Wrong. 'Nessie being here' was just some silly prank the sirens started. Or how the 80s film, The Creature of Shadow Lake, which was filmed partially in town, was supposedly cursed, with all of the cast and crew suffering ailments of some kind after filming. The ailments did happen, but that had nothing to do with a witch's curse and everything to do with the director being a nepotist-loving asshole who trespassed on other residents' properties with her cast of family members to shoot particular scenes. But the part of the tour that did catch her attention was everything she hadn't known about, like the part about all of the previous Council leaders and their rather gruesome deaths. The tour walked them along many of the different murder locations before ending the historical walk in front of the steps of Town Hall, where one of the previous Fae Queens, Marjorie, had bit the dust. "Y'all have really accumulated quite the death count in this town, now haven't ya?" She let out a low whistle as she turned toward the nearest person walking along the Town Green. She wasn't all that surprised, given the chaos that had just gone down at the Masquerade Ball. But things certainly seemed different from what she had expected.
Option 3:
"Pst, did you get anything yet?" Len whispered to the rustling sound coming out of the alleyway trash bins. "They're total assholes, so there has to be some dirt on them," She kept her voice down as she spoke to Yoko, her raccoon familiar, that was currently rummaging through one of her least favorite client's trash bins in an attempt to find some dirt on them that she could spill on her latest podcast episode. But, at the sound of footsteps approaching, Lennon sidestepped in front of the trash in an attempt to hide what Yoko was up to from view. "Hey," She flashed the passerby an unassuming smile. "So, what brings you to the, uh, alleyway in the dead of night?" She asked, attempting to make casual conversation, just as a bang came from inside the trash can behind her.

The vampire cocked her head as she watched the sight before her, the short woman speaking to something in a dirty alleyway was certainly a sight to behold. "If you're trying to be inconspicuous, this is not the way to do it." Rio advised, gesturing to their general surroundings. "Who's your friend?" She asked, nodding down the alleyway to whoever, or whatever, was down there.

Slowly, the sun began to peak over the water's horizon, illuminating a figure at the end of a dock. Her golden hair began to glow in the morning's light. She kept her eyes down on the water, and her long, pink tail that swung in the air above it. It wouldn't be long until she dried and could return home, after a sleepless night turned into a thought-filled swim, but the creak of a board somewhere behind her spooked the siren back into the water with a splash that sprayed the dock.

It was the morning after the masquerade ball. RenzĆ had the opening shift at the Daily Drip. The morning rush was slower than usual. He imagined most people were enjoying their time in bed after the disaster at Moore manor the night before. His mind mulled it over as the witch sipped espresso from a cup in the quiet coffee shop. The ding of the door's bell, announcing someone's arrival, drew RenzĆ from his thoughts. "Morning." He greeted before ever seeing who had entered. "What can I get started for you?"
It was a little depressing that the night before had been tame, for her at least, for a town event. Considering she came away with no bite marks in her skin or ghosts haunting her, it was downright cheery. Still, she felt drained. So she had headed to the Daily Drip, she didn't need coffee, but it was one of the human things she still held on to, the routine of it was comforting. "The biggest drip coffee you have, three sugars, please." She sighed, resting against the counter. "How are you holding up after, all that?"
Option One
Blinking slowly, Rangi turned toward the sound of a familiar voice. Her hand was outstretched, fingers set delicately on top of one of the records as if she were going to pluck it up and buy it. The problem was that she didn't remember getting here. One minute she'd been at home on the couch, watching some stupid TV show, and the next she was here.
Which meant she had fallen asleep at some point, then gotten up and slept walked her way here. Great.
"What?" she asked, then, finally realizing she'd been asked a question. She dropped her hand and turned to face him more fully. "Sorry, I-- didn't hear what you said."
Mac didn't mean to pry... well, that wasn't entirely true. Mac was very nosey and often liked to let his telepathy run rampant because I wanted to know everyone's business, and unfortunately sometimes meant he learnt too much about people. Now was a good example of that.
"I asked if you had seen a rock wearing a cowboy hat and with a moustache, real cute, answers to Rock Hudson." Mac prattled on, weighing up his options on what to say next. "Are you all good?" He asked, despite himself.
Option One
"Have I seen your... pet rock around town?" He cocked a brow up slightly as he tried to fight the smirk that was toying at the corner of his lips. "No. Can't say it rings a bell, but at this rate, you may just be the most fascinating man I've ever met. You know that, right?"
"A missing pet rock surely can't be the weirdest thing that has happened in this town." Mac deadpanned as he continued to search for the missing rock. "I'm a mystery wrapped in an enigma... being hot makes it fascinating rather than annoying." The witch shrugged. "If I wasn't as stunningly handsome as I am, this-" he gestured to himself generally "- would be far less endearing."

option one where: broken records
He looked under the display before him, sighing as he stood up and ran a hand through his hair. This was the fifth store he had been in, searching high and low and it looked like he was coming up short, yet again. Looking to the person next to him he sighed in defeat. "Have you seen a rock, he's got a little cowboy hat, googly eyes, a moustache?" It was a prank and it was beginning to drive him insane.
option two where: echo acres woods
From a distance it would look like the witch was setting up a relaxing bonfire in the middle of the woods, a small clearing a neat stack of wood surrounded by stones to contain it. That was until the small firepit was engulfed in a giant fireball, the kind that ought to have burnt the witch, had the fire not curved around him, spreading through the small clearing, nearly kissing the looming trees before retreating to be contained by the firepit. From the outside it seemed fake, an illusion, but in Lunar Cove it was normal, or normal-ish. Flexing his hands, Mac nodded to himself, glad that his magic seemed to back to normal, enjoying the quiet crackle of the fire before he heard someone approaching from behind him. "You need a bell or something, I could have barbequed you."
Dilan looked over at the man who had just watched out of her sisters shop from over her sunglasses, she got up from the bench. "Why vertical? Afraid you'll pass out or something? I promise if you do not to draw on your face with sharpies." Dilan practically teased before pushing her sunglasses back up on her nose. "Why not?' Figuring what the hell since she still had a couple days off work before. she went hard into decorating for the masquerade. "You're right. Plus, I could probably use the company." Having company tented to make her feel less alone, which wasn't a bad thing. "Soâ what did you get into last night? Or is that a need to known bases?" She asked as they started to walk and she followed his lead.
"If I don't stay vertical I die, like sharks and moving forward. It's a weird birth defect, been dealing with it all my life, thousands of babies are born every year with this affliction, there's a charity to you can donate to, get a nice tax write-off." He replied sarcastically before adjusting his sunglasses. He didn't reply to her thoughts, figuring he'd come off as nothing but an asshole if he did. "I would need to kill you if I told you, throw your body in a ditch, the whole nine-yards. No one would see you again."
âI mean thereâs been records of past trials and theyâre well watched.â Kate countered but let the subject of it drop as she flicked her ashes onto the ground. âItâs easy to say, when youâre not competing in the trials.â While she respected her siblings not wanting to be involved in the coven, this was something she was dying for on the inside. âDonât say that.â She teased back before shoving him lightly in the shoulder. âIt is questionable, very. Youâre also definitely getting your licenses revoked.â Giving a laugh before she handed the joint back to him. âDonât worry about it. I wonât pressure you.â She reassured. âI feel like joining the coven has to be your choice, not something thatâs forced, you know?â She tried to explain it the best she could in the moment, but she knew she was failing. âI just hate a lot of what has been done in the past with the coven. I want people too actual want to be in the coven and to be inspired to be apart of it. To be proud.â Giving another laugh when he mentioned he was changing her to Marshall Applewhite in his connects. âYou better not.â She warned while pointing over to him. âIt means weâre good leaders, so it means I should be a cult leader.â
"And cults are notorious for their transparency." Mac replied sarcastically. "I try to be encouraging and you knock it back. Fine, you probably won't succeed and you'll have to watch someone take the position you're dying for." He replied, he hadn't grown up with comfort and encouragement, so there was only so much he could provide. "It's a fake licence anyway. I flunked out of shrink school." He shrugged, playing along with the bit. "Yeah I'm with you, it is much easier to indoctrinate people if they are initially willing." She was never going to sell him on the coven, even if she was trying. "Too late." He hummed, flashing the her contact card at her. "Ah okay, when your parents fucked definitely contributes to whether you're a good leader."

"Are you sure you're up for this?" Leyla asked as she took the hangers from Rio as they were handed to her. She knew the bite had technically healed over for the other girl, but it had only been a few days since she had still been on bed rest and she wanted to make sure that Rio wasn't pushing herself more than she should. Though then again, Rio had seemed excited at the idea of a makeover after Leyla had mentioned she was thinking about going shopping and trying out a new style in an attempt to clear her head after everything. So, maybe raiding Rio's closet and playing dress up was the perfect distraction for the both of them. "But, okay. Oh! This is cute," Leyla's eyes lit up as she changed out of Ken's oversized sweater she had borrowed and her tights into the corset and pants set Rio had instructed her to put on. "I might need your help lacing this up," She let out a soft giggle as she motioned to the laces of the corset she had been struggling to do up herself. "But, really? Do you think? I mean, I wouldn't want him to actually have a heart attack, obviously, but black does seem to be his favorite color, and we both know how he feels about suits," She nodded her head, having a feeling her husband would approve. As long as he didn't know it had come from Rio's closet, that is.
"I feel horrible no matter what I do. I may as well have some fun while I suffer." She needed the distraction if she was being honest. The ghosts of her past hovering at her bedside had done a number on her. They were blessedly coming further apart, but they still came eventually. The threat of their reappearance gnawed at her. She couldn't imagine that fear passing. "Everything in my closet is cute." Rio nodded, a half smile on her lips. Her closet was a well oiled machine, cultivated within an inch of its life, a gallery of her style. She loved fashion in the way she loved art, and though she doubted she would ever try to design anything, it didn't mean she appreciated it any less. At the call for help she expertly tightened the laces. "If it's too tight let me know." Looking her friend up and down the vampire let out a low whistle. "You look stunning, and like you said, he's into suits - this ought to be right up his alley... And all men are attracted to corsets in my experience. It's like it's wired into their DNA." Ken's commitment to suiting was almost pathological in her eyes. "So what has spurred on this style experiment?"
SALTBURN (2023) Dir. Emerald Fennell
"Are you throwin' a party?" Charlie asked with a chuckle, as she stepped into Rio's kitchen. The drive out into the middle of nowhere made her think they'd be having a bonfire or something, but from the driveway she could hear pop music blaring through the house. "Oh, thanks!" Charlie didn't drink much but took it to be polite. "What are we drinkin' to?"
"Life's a party?" The vampire shrugged, clearly not believing her own words. "To me not feeling like I am dying anymore." Rio nodded, it felt like a good enough reason to be joyous. "And... I just need a night of feeling good if I'm being honest. Life has been... a lot." She couldn't think of a better explainer. Between the bites, Dilan, the ghosts that had been haunting her. She just wanted a night of fun and normalcy, of not feeling like she was being crushed underfoot of a crowd.

Savannah sat perched on the rim of the water tower. Her legs swung freely over the edge and, now and then, her boots would cut lazy shapes through the air far above the quiet town of Lunar Cove. She had climbed up here in an attempt to clear her head, thankful that they had finally had a day warm enough for her to be able to yank herself up without fear of slipping on ice or reaching the top only to be met with a fresh coating of snow. Instead, the last few rays of the setting sun had reached the metal beneath her palms as she stared down at the blades of grass below, thankful that the snow had melted away for now and, hopefully Punxsutawney Phil was wrong and Spring would be there before they knew it, because for the first day, in a long time, it was finally starting to feel like Spring.
The sky was mid-transition. Burnt orange bled into dusty pink as the sun sunk low enough to everything feel briefly cam for a change. A breeze teased loose strands of her hair across her cheek, carrying with it the faint smell of the rusk from the water tower and she found herself exhaling without thinking. A soft, tired sigh slipped out as she brought the open beer up to her lips. For a moment, she just watched the light fade, listening to the quiet clink of bottles beside her, balanced between the day sheâd had and the night still waiting. Only what she hadn't been expecting was the ladder beside her to begin to shake and before she knew it the top of a brunette head began to emerge. "Ah shit- sorry, I just, wasn't really expectin' anyone else to come up here. Ya kinda found my hidin' spot, but you wouldn't happen to want a beer now, would ya? That is unless, you climbed all the way up here to yell at me to climb my ass back down?"
The sun kissed the back of his shoulders as he crossed the field to the water tower, a backpack chiming from clinking bottles with each step. It had become routine to scale the water tower at the end of each week, to watch the sun set over the town he had exiled himself to and enjoy a moment of simple quiet. He tried to take little moments when he could to enjoy the world around him, take it all in with whatever time he had left.
He hadn't expected anyone to be in his sanctuary, there hadn't been for the many previous weeks that he had been making his way up the tower, so the intrusion startled him a little. "You and me both." He admitted as he pulled himself up, the familiar creaking of the platform as he did more comforting than concerning, despite how ominous it sounded. "I'll trade you." He smirked, pulling one of his own beers out of his bag and offering it to the blonde. "And if I were going to yell you down, I would have waited at the bottom, enjoyed the view as you did." he shrugged shamelessly as he got comfortable, dangling his legs over the edge of the platform, letting them sway gently in the nothing that stretched beneath them. "So what are you hiding from up here?"

Dilan had spent the last few weeks at treatment for her depression, while it wasnât exactly a snowglobe life, it had helped. Taking a sip of her coffee as she sat on the bench outside of the Daily Drip. Closing her eyes as she took in a deep breath and enjoy the warm spring air until she heard someone else. Turning to look at them, she gave a smile. âHey,â She greeted with a slight wave. âWant to sit down?â Gesturing to the empty spot next to her.Â
The witch had little use for shame, it seemed like nothing more than an inconvenience to him and was best ignored, so it was absent as Mac made his way out of the coffee shop in last nights clothes, hair mused, entry stamps on his arm, the largest cup money could buy in his hand and dark sunglasses covering his eyes. He was itching for a cigarette, but he had lost his pack and his lucky lighter, again, somewhere in the blue of the previous night. He was about to wander off when someone spoke to him. "Not particularly, need to keep vertical." He replied, running a hand through his hair and musing it further. "You can join me if you want? I'm poor company, but walking with me is a smidge less sad than sitting on a bench alone."

"It looks like a fucking Lush. What are they brewing in there? Bath bombs? That shit makes me break out. Oh, and they stain tubs too. Fun fact. Left the bathroom in this Holiday Inn bright fucking red few month ago. Hightailed it out of there before they started looking for a body. What? I was stressed. I needed some R&R." Peering into the window and seeing mostly his own reflection in the darkened glass, Kamran stepped back with a sigh.
Clad in a hoodie with two cans of spray-paint dangling from his hip, the witch seemed to have been looking for something to tag when he got into a conversation with someone and began peeking in windows. "I don't know, dude. I don't like groups. Like, what do I get out of a coven anyway? Covens sound cool in theory. Like, in a regular-ass town, being in a coven would be fucking cool. But here, it feels like maybe it's kind of the Rotary Club. No offense. What would you do if you were me? Would you look into joining up?"
Option B Location: Daily Drip, Open Mic Night
"Anyway, that was...that was my original song 'Fluorescent Bloodbath.' Again, my name is Kamran Ahmadi, and you should...you should check out my band and me at our next...Well, it's not my band. But I'm in it. It's called The Hex Pistols." He did not quite know when their next gig would be, but one had to be coming sooner or later. "There will be flyers. You should look for them. It'll be kind of underground."
Standing in front of a subdued room with his guitar, Kamran seemed to realize that maybe he had misread the tone of the night. The applause was scattered, if polite, and shifting back and forth in place, the witch seemed to realize he still had time to kill. "Uh...are there any requests?"
He had merely been walking past, an innocent bypasser, before the other man had started speaking to him. Somehow the other man had gotten it into his head that they were having a conversation, despite Mac having contributed nothing beyond a disinterested hum when the other man had started speaking seemingly to him.
The other man was a spitfire, going a mile a minute so it took Mac half a second that he had been asked a question. "Oh, I'm actually expected to respond, you seemed to be doing mighty fine conducting a whole conversation by yourself. I didn't want to interrupt." The witch answered around his cigarette, bringing his lighter up before he continued. "You shouldn't be asking me for life advice, buddy. Taking my advice would probably be marginally worse than following your heart, or whatever."

Rio danced around her kitchen, in a shockingly good mood, music blaring around her loud enough that she was sure it would be echoing off the trees that surrounded her house. She loved living in the woods, far off the beaten path, with no nosey neighbours to make noise complaints about the volume that Sabrina Carpenter was being played at. Despite the volume, she heard the unlocked front door opening. "In the kitchen!" She called out to her visitor, continuing to move about the large room to the beat before collecting the prepared drink on the counter as she finished her own. "I figured we deserved cosmos for... something." She smiled, offering Charlie the drink.

"Hey, you. Looks like you're the last lock I still haven't tried," She flashed Rio a smile as she dangled the key she had been given between her fingers. "You don't mind if I put her in, now do ya?" She teased. The blonde had mainly swung by Joe's simply because she was craving a pizza, but now she found herself roped into this interesting to say the least game and she figured she might as well follow through.
As much as she hated to admit it, she kind of loved these town events. It was like something out of a television show how the town rallied to celebrate every holiday and went all out for it. It was that secret love that turned a trip for pizza into her being paired up with the blonde before her. "Keep talking like that and Joe might kick us out." Rio chuckled, offering her lock to Savannah. "And no matter how pretty you are, I will be a very crabby date if I don't also get food."
