Beyond the red carpet, beyond a dress or a face, what deeply moves me is the way we look at others.
Physical criticism should simply not exist.
I am appalled to see thousands of comments tearing apart someone’s appearance. Appalled by how normalized this kind of judgment has become. As if criticizing a body, a face, or a silhouette had somehow become ordinary.
And yet, it serves no purpose. It means nothing.
A human being cannot be reduced to their appearance. We speak about a person through their values, their actions, their words, their thoughts, and their ability to love, create, share, and uplift others.
Whether it is Laetitia Casta, Carla Bruni, a person living with a disability, a skin color, a gender, or any visible or invisible difference… it does not matter.
Behind every face, there is a story. A life. A sensitivity.
If each of us simply starts by rejecting this behavior within our own circle, we are already doing something meaningful. We help change the way we look at others. We help put humanity back at the center.
