Read somewhere, "Kabhi pathar ki thokar se bhi aati nahi kharash, kabhi ek zara si baat se insaan bikhar jata hai." damn so true.
Hate that you can’t criticize or even dislike porn without being called a prude or a puritan. We as a society are so brain rotted
Having a crush on someone is nice until you start losing your mind.
Long ass women's magazine articles trying to convince me how raw, vulnerable and courageous celebrities who disclose they've had Botox or filler are when like...the raw vulnerable courageous thing would be just being happy with your natural face without injections or surgery to make the skin look like it's been stapled to the back of their head because god forbid an adult woman look over the age of 20 like what?
Like is it better to be honest? Sure. But to glorify it is so freaky to me like it's always got this tone of like "hey we are all doing it - so kudos to when people admit it! They are setting a good example" like no baby....admitting you're getting blasted with routine injections that are without a doubt bad for your actual health so that your face doesn't move is not the hero we need in the world
We need women to be allowed to age - and yet everyone talks about it like the issue is that we shouldn't criticize cosmetic procedures like that's so backwards it's actually insane

🌟 A Cry for Help: My Family’s Struggle to Survive in Gaza 🌟
Hello, my name is Areej Kassab. I’m a 27-year-old English teacher and writer from Gaza, and I’m reaching out to you with a heavy heart and a desperate plea for support. My family and I are enduring unimaginable hardships as relentless bombings devastate our home and our dreams.
We are a family of 15—10 adults and 5 children. Every day is a battle for survival. Food is scarce, humanitarian aid is not reaching us, and my little nieces and nephews go to bed hungry. Among them is my sister, who is deaf, and another sister who has a newborn baby. They, too, are suffering in this crisis, and I’m doing everything I can to protect and provide for them.
💔 A Life in Ruins The war has robbed us of everything: safety, peace, and even the hope of a future here. My family’s needs are basic yet critical—food, clean water, diapers for the babies, gas for cooking, and other essentials to make it through each day.
With rising prices and limited access to necessities, we are struggling to provide even the most basic items. My sister’s home has been destroyed, and we are working together to ensure everyone has shelter, food, and warmth.
✨ My Plea for Your Support ✨ I’m a writer, and I’ve been documenting the harsh realities faced by my community under siege. But words can only do so much. We need action, and we need help. Your kindness can save us.
🙏 How You Can Help
Donate: Every contribution, no matter how small, brings us closer to securing the essentials we desperately need.
Share Our Story: If you can’t donate, please share this post to help us reach others who can.
Your support will help provide food for the children, clean water for my family, and basic supplies to help us survive this unimaginable crisis.
My name is Melissa and I am supporting Areej to help her family surviv… Melissa Saul needs your support for Emergency Evacuation for Aree
Thank you for reading, for caring, and for standing in solidarity with us. Together, we can create a lifeline for my family—a chance to live, to dream, and to hope again.
With love and gratitude, Areej Kassab ❤️

Women in 1977 burning porn magazines in Oslo, Norway 🇳🇴. In this time, there was a huge movement where feminists would tear porn magazines off the bookshelves and burn them in bonfires.
A demonstration against the opening of a brothel in the same month, which proved itself successful as the establishment was never opened. The banner in the middle reads: "The female body is not for sale"
In the 80s, the organisation behind the movement, the "Kvinnefronten" (Norwegian for "Women's Front") gave certificates to shops who did not sell pornographic magazines
So yeah, all my love goes out to the Norwegian feminists of the late 70s and 80s ❤️ 🇳🇴🇳🇴🇳🇴
If they could do it, we can too! 💪

wow i love twitter sm.
on a serious note - i think it's funny to portray women not wearing make-up as silly and childish when you're the one apparently caring so much about what other people are doing to their faces.
ask yourself: why do you find bare faces not appropriate for formal events? why does it bother you to see a woman without makeup? how does it effect you? why do you think it effects you?
you're so insistent that there are no societal pressures at play, that women are doing this exclusively for themselves and for the joy of it - then where does this urge to force it on women who don't find joy in it come from? why does it annoy you to see women in their natural way of being? it's a choice, but also there's a right choice, apparently, and anyone stepping out of line shoud be promptly shamed into submission. right?
"a little (whatever) never hurt anybody" okay and neither does a bare face. grow up.
My bare face is in your formal event reminding you that you're a victim and that freedom can be yours if you want it. :)
I think a lot of people have only a surface level understanding of bodily autonomy. I've talked to people who are pro surrogacy and pro sex industry because they think women should be able to do what they want with their bodies, including sell them. But under that model, you're selling away your own bodily autonomy. You cannot be fully in control of yourself while under financial coercion. You can't have the choice to end a surrogate pregnancy at any time when you rely on that money to get by, and the same for women in the sex industry. You cannot consent to sex when the alternative is not having enough money to pay rent. The buying and selling of bodily functions is a removal of autonomy, not an expression of it.
