You want to mourn them, and you do. Suddenly, no one knows the right thing to say. Are you scared they disappear once you stop crying over them?

Seven years later I am still mourning. I will stay in this state until this really sinks in: it was their story. I was an observer. My pain is real, but it’s not created for me to suffer. I experienced this part of life, soaked in the mortality of everything, loved and hated. Nothing lasts forever, but nothing goes away.

Let’s celebrate the friends we lost. Let’s look back with happiness and gratitude. Let’s leave life for the living.
