      A scowl formed on her porcelain features, as she took one last inhale from her cigarette ( before r u d e l y puffing it into his face ) &. quietly hummed to herself thinking over what she wanted to exactly say to him. To hear him out, or to beat the hell out of him ? Hard choice, but someone had to be a better role model for her girls– so ! She’d hear out the pig, though she won’t ever find herself really seeing what he tried accomplishing. One thing she’d always keep from her younger years was– she was a stubborn ass b i t c h.

         She was intimidating… and her title alone was testament to the fact she had strength to back it. Regardless, he stood against the suffocating air (oh, how it stung his eyes and coiled around his throat). Breath held behind pursed lips, he waves the smoke aside in a swift stroke of his hand. It was a bothersome and petty act, but Teiji’s patience stands firm, not wearing any thinner. Instead, her behavior only left him wondering more about her. She’d also felt strongly for Sayu, this much he had discovered. There was doubt in his mind that she would behave this way if the musician were around. And yet… it wasn’t enough. Despite not being in her shoes, thinking about it empathetically, he just couldn’t picture himself threatening Asuka, or skipping class. Even if he would come to hate Asuka with every fiber of his being… he felt confident about being able to repress it for the sake of his education.

         Heeding her words, he turns to leave, but the questions continued to nag and ground him, despite his doubt that he’d get any sort of answers. If not for his family’s honor and lack of concern for himself, he would have likely avoided Asuka altogether. It felt pointless to leave without any sort of insight, even with threats looming over him. ❝ If you can face me so firmly now… Why does this keep you from attending class? If I am not the reason… is it the sight of me near her? ❞ he asks. He recalls how quickly she had left the classroom upon the sight of him early that morning. She hadn’t appeared at all since then… and it was the main reason Teiji had opted to seek her out in the first place.

          Was there any universal reaction towards being hugged by a large, soft, friendly bear...? None that Teiji could think of. Even as a child, he never had an opportunity to meet one of these “mascots.” It was awkward at first, almost like he was meant to be a child in this position, but slowly the fluffy sensation sank in, and Teiji could feel himself relax. In this situation, it only felt sensible to return the gesture instead of just standing there, and with hesitation, the arranger brings his own arms up to wrap around the fuzzy entity. And for a moment, it remains that way.

      Flicking the ashes of her cigarette onto the ground, Asuka slowly blinked. Respect ? A sigh left her lips as she inhaled cigarette smoke, nodding at him before closing her eyes. She couldn’t look at him. She was so disgusted by him, but it wasn’t because he was a bad person– it was because she chose ( h i m ) . Don’t cry, don’t you dare start fucking crying. She held back tears as she smiled quietly at the flower arranger.

It’s not intentional. ❞ Truthfully, he did feel a little downcast, but only because he believed he could do so much more for her. He didn’t like the way she saw herself as troublesome, or a bother... not when he enjoyed her presence the way that he did. Even now, her kindness and concern for her were apparent, and he could not help but feel touched by her sentiments.

          She was a beautiful human being, a delicate flower, and the thought of it frightened him, as if there could ever be a time where she could just wither away, no matter the amount of care he put into her. It’s why he hated caring for flowers, why he preferred his bonsai trees. No matter how vibrant and healthy flowers appeared, they would all simply die anyway, which was why he was so eager to part with his artistic creations. Sayu was different in the way that he could not part with her. He would care for her until the day she withered, and he would force himself to face the sadness that would accompany that day.

       Pressing the cigarette against her lips, inhaling deeply, before noticing someone walking in her general direction. She wouldn’t be as bothered if it was a stranger, but no, this was no stranger. This was the boy who ruined her life. A quiet scowl left dry lips before pushing herself off the wall she leaned against. Quickly shoving one hand into her pocket to grab for her switchblade– paranoia filling her body with extreme anxiety. Her heart began to feel a sense of pain, oh how her heart ached.

       All men were truly nothing more than filthy disgusting pigs.

          ❝ ...I’m not looking for conflict, Hiraoka-san. ❞ Rather he’d been looking for her. Every passing second made this seem like more and more of a pointless endeavor... but it was worth a shot. Obviously, he didn’t want the two of them to continue going on like this, but maybe it was too much to ask for at this point. Still, it was hard to tell whether or not time alone would heal feelings such as these, or if someone needed to step up and take a stab at coming up with a compromise or solution of a sort. He didn’t want to feel responsible for making her skip class. They students of this class were here for a reason, after all.

          Technically, she was already involved, but… she didn’t need to know that. He pats her head and offers a small smile, hoping to alleviate any worries she might’ve had. It was the best he could do for now, but hopefully a sort of solution or compromise could arise between him and Asuka in due time.
