ღ Homecoming ღ
It hurt the younger blond that Shizuo appeared to remember Shinra and Celty exactly how they were. His memory for them wasn’t as foggy as it was for him. Tsugaru wasn’t going to let it get to him though. It’s not like his older brother had control over what memories he lost.
Tsugaru sat on the couch patiently, trying to stay calm as the doctor ran his gloved fingers through Shizuo’s blond strands. It was unkempt and messy because he probably didn’t brush it out before he left the house. That’s something Tsugaru knew Shizuo would forget to do. Waiting for any news he may receive, Celty tapped on his shoulder lightly. Tsugaru turned his attention towards her. How did you find him?was typed out on the screen. Tsugaru replied, worriedly “I just got off work and he was there on the sidewalk walking around. He didn’t remember me, so I took him back to my work so he could lay down for a while. I don’t know what could have happened.” The shadows that emitted from Celty’s neck swayed back and forth, similar to a head nod.
"Well!" Shinra began, "It doesn’t look like anything serious. You’re already starting to heal, so your memories should come back after a while. You can try to speed up the process and look through things. Maybe go back home and start there?" He suggested, his tone growing joyfully again before he tossed a glance back towards Celty. "That way Celty and I can have some alone time together again!" Celty’s shadow erected upwards and she typed out furiously Don’t say stuff like that they might get the wrong idea!
"Will he… will he be okay?" Tsugaru muttered, his voice low.
"Home" was the word used again. Bending over, he rest his elbows on his knees and stared between his feet in thought as the light hearted joking continued on.
He tried to recall upon this morning and the place he was in. First the scenery: he remembered it being still. Like the world was dead to him. The lighting was poor from the lack of sunrise and sounds appeared far off. Now it seems like there wasn't crying nor shuffling heard from the kitchen. A light throbbing started in his brain-- new scene had formed and it seemed someone was asleep next to him. This must have been before he passed out. Shizuo was always alone so why was someone sleeping in the same bed as him? That fact was strange yet oddly comforting, but for whatever reason he didn't want to go back there. Anywhere but there.
Rubbing his forehead with his fingers to ease the onset of a headache he heard his brother's soothing voice again, though his mind made no sense of the noises coming out of his mouth.
