Camping Starter: Event One
This was the fourth times Fangs had wanted to hit something while building this tent. He just couldn’t work it out. Every time he put a pole together, it just snapped back out of place. Not to mention, he fell over earlier after walking backwards and tripping over his bag. Hence why he was now sitting on the grass, obviously frustrated, with a tissue on his bleeding knee. His other hand held a cigarette and he kept taking careful tokes, trying to calm himself down. It was already starting to get dark and all he had managed to do was get one pole through a hoop in the tent. “Fucking tent” he cursed out.
Kevin watched from afar to see how Fangs was going to put up this tent, and chuckled while walking up to him. He didn’t put up his own tent (thankful of his father) so there was no way he could help but would gladly be there for support. “You know that they may punish you for smoking right?” He joked, standing next to Fangs. “You should ask Moose to help, he’s probably wrapped up helping others though.”
Fangs looked up at Kevin and smiled. "You know if your father saw you talking to a Serpent he may not be to happy" Fangs raised an eye at him. "Yeah Moose left me here with this impossible task, while he went to collect firewood" he said Pointing towards the tent that was lying sadly in a pile. He checked the cut on his knee and was grateful it didn't run deep.

Fangs looked up at him and rolled his eyes, “fine”. He grumbled as he stood up and tried to copy what Moose was doing, putting the poles together. It worked successfully, and he smiled with pride at himself. He handed the pole to Moose, surprised at how easy the worked as a team. He tried to strike up a conversation, I mean he was going to spend a week with him so why not? “It’s seems a lot easier now, I swear” he chuckled.
Moose eyed him suspiciously as he grabbed a pole and to be quite frank, already expected him to fuck up. Surprisingly, he did quite well. “Yeah, gets easier the more often you do it,” he agreed with a small smirk - which quickly disappeared when he realized that had just been friendly to a serpent. “Now you just put the poles in the tent,” he said, a little sharper this time, trying to make sure that the other realized that this trip would not make them friends.
Fangs raised his eyebrows up at the tone and rolled his eyes. He had a feeling he'd be doing that a lot. "Yeah okay" he smiled and began to push the poles into the tent. They finished their work in silence and he stepped back, smiling proudly. His knee was still sore so he went to sit down but not before looking at moose. He didn't know what took over his body but he held his hand up for a high five. "Good job!" He smiled nicely.

“Seriously?”, Moose sighed as he came back, shaking his head at the sad mess that was supposed to be their tent. Why had he assumed that this thug kid would actually get shit done while he and the rest of the team were out collecting wood for the fire? He didn’t know, but the disappointment was real. With a sigh, he picked up a couple of poles and started assembling them. “You could at least help me, you know?”

He nodded slowly, taking in what she said. “How about I help you with calculus? I’ve got English now and I don’t feel like dealing with the teacher” he shrugged, his hands going to his hips as he leant against he lockers.
“does that mean you actually know what you’re doing in calculus or that you just need something to do instead of going to english?” fallon questioned with a hum, “not that i blame you, if i need to read another book i’m being forced to read i might scream.”
" a bit of both" he chuckled, his hand subconsciously running through his hair, fixing it. He was good at calculus, but the southsiders were far behind the northsiders and thus had a lot to learn. "We are reading Romeo and Juliet and I swear I almost killed myself, never mind them."

Fangs rolled his eyes at his over dramatic friend. “They weren’t all that bad” he rolled his eyes, thinking of the few okay ones. Fallon, Kevin and Jane to name a few. “I mean yeah the majority are assholes but still.” He chuckled. “So,Pink haired princess, how’d you find surviving the day without being in a single class with me” he winked.

“don’t get me wrong, fangs. some of ‘em aren’t too bad as individuals. it’s how they are as one combined force that bothers me.” she sat beside her friend and laughed gently as he put a spin on the nickname she had just given to cheryl. “pretty lame not havin’ my pal there, but i’m glad we’re at a school that actually has textbooks.”
Fangs chuckled at his joke with her, sending her a smile. "I'm not, it means we actually have to do work" he said, thinking about the history assignment that awaited him at home. He had spent so much time in the past week just doing homework and he was sick of it.

she nods her head and listens to the other speak. “dude, school isn’t that bad. learning is pretty cool, if you’ve got a good teacher” she smiles back at him. when he mentions jughead, she has to roll her eyes. “no he doesn’t! he’s not my protecter, i can look after myself” she replies.
Fangs eyed the young girl "I don't wanna get in trouble. So..." He thought about it. "You can stay, as long as I get to make sure you get home safe by walking you back" he nodded, that seemed like a fair deal to him.

“how are you finding riverdale high?” she asks the other, as they sit together in the whyte wyrm. she takes a sip of her drink, “i’m actually enjoying. it’s ten times better then southside high” a laugh leaves her lips, she was happy to be learning things rather than just hanging out on the school grounds or not even going to school.

Fangs raised an eyebrow as Archie approached him. “I’m alright thanks’ he glared at the redhead. Fangs refused to admit he was lost. He bit his lip, continuing to try and find his way to math class. He wandered the hall, up and down, watching Archie laugh at home as he did. “Fine!” He finally growled. “What room am I in?” He asked, throwing a piece of paper at Archie. He looked at Archie read through his timetable.
He leaned back against a locker, waiting for the redhead to point him in the right direction. His hand ran through his hair. He looked back at Archie again and his face fell blank. He should probably be polite seeing as he was helping him out.
Archie’s first impulse was to ask whether the guy could read or not which, despite his sincere curiosity, probably wouldn’t have been received all too well so he decided to keep it simple and gesture down the left wing. “It’s down that way to the right,” he told him. “You’re one of Jughead’s friends, right? Fangs, or something. I’m Archie. You might remember me from the time we fought in the rain. Sorry about that.”
He handed back the schedule. “Welcome to Riverdale High.”
"Yeah, you could say we're friends." Fangs nodded, thinking about his friendship with the new serpent. He was glad not to be the newest serpent now, Jughead took that role. Fangs hadn't spoke much with him, but they knew each other. "Archie" he nodded, making sure he remembered the name. "Thanks" he offered a small smile.
"Don't be sorry about fighting" he shrugged. Fighting on the southside wasn't unusual, in fact it was unusual if they went through a day without at least three fights. "It's normal, where we're from"
Flipping through the pages of his history book with all of the frenetic energy of a kid who’d forgotten that he had a test that period. He blamed it on the merge for screwing up his delicately balanced schedule of music and football and girlfriends by pouring thugs and Jugs on top of it all like some kind of perverted sundae.
Archie was too busy mentally berating himself for his lacking diligence to realize that the swarm of students in the hallway was beginning to peter out into one or two until the silence of the hallway startled him into action. Scrambling to stuff his books under his arm, he froze halfway when a lumbering figure caught his eye in the hallway. At first he thought it was a teacher, and then, he reconsidered his own silence in favor of goodwill. Someone had to set an example, right?

“so, uh — i don’t know if you noticed but the welcome us serpents got earlier this week from that spoilt red-haired princess wasn’t exactly the warmest. i don’t suppose you could, i don’t know… remind me of a few reasons i agreed to come here in the first place?” toni sighed, rolling her eyes. “because i’m beginning to think my optimism was misguided.”

“A lot of people are, it’s a shame though” he sighed and quickly running his fingers through his hair. “So? You not gonna get to class?” He said raising his eyebrow
“free period,“ she replied, “i’ve got cheer practice after school so this is basically my chance to make sure i don’t fail my next calculus exam.” fallon admitted, “can’t say that a crash course in fighting is what i was expecting but it is more fun than calculus.”
He nodded slowly, taking in what she said. "How about I help you with calculus? I've got English now and I don't feel like dealing with the teacher" he shrugged, his hands going to his hips as he leant against he lockers.

“Again..this situation is one I’ve been in more times than I can count.” Fun. The word that has plagued him since coming out and getting hot. “Neither am I so this is perfect.”
Fangs nodded, not sure where to go from here. For a big serpent, he sure wasn't good at this kind of stuff. He just sat there looking at Kevin and raised a brow. "So you ever gonna kiss me?" He chuckled and waited for a reply.

Fangs gulped, for a bit tough serpent he surely did hate this part. He came up with the way he thought was easiest. “You’re always right” he winked and looked at the sun. It was beautiful, as was the man beside him. He wasn’t up for a relationship, he assumed Kevin was the same but he sighed, there was no problem with fun.
“Something else I know.” He smirked, scooting closer to Fangs so that their bodies were touching one another. “Trust me when I say that I’ve been through this a lot.”
Fangs turned to look at Kevin and smiled, he nuzzle his nose on Kevin and smirked. "Yeah, I could say the same" he chuckled. He pulled away slightly. "Look I'm not looking for a relationship, I just want you to know"

“It’s always useful, especially when that girl over there looks like she wants to rip your head off” he said, watching a passersby glare at Fallon and stare at him. He rolled his eyes and sent her a death glare back. “You’re okay, you could beat her ass easily”
“you have literally never seen me fight, but i do appreciate the vote of confidence even if it has no basis whatsoever.” the brunette couldn’t help but remind him even as her gaze followed his to land on the girl passing them, fallon didn’t return her glare a scoff on her lips as she rolled her eyes, “that girl has always been more talk than anything else, she’s harmless.”
