Funnily enough, just as I had been thinking that it was kinda cute that they both have white hair and had been working together lately, this “Golden” ending came up! Simultaneously cute and hilarious!

btw i’m not saying that people have to ship things exactly the way i do. i’m saying that uratess has equal potential, but for a long time this hasn’t been reflected in people’s ideas about who kisuke is shipped with.

even disregarding the problem of urayoru and heteronormativity, the “equal potential” thing is STILL an issue among other gay ships kisuke is involved with. people would rather ship kisuke with male characters who are horrible people (mayuri) or have ruined his and his friends’ lives (aizen) or basically anyone else who he barely has chemistry with (if any at all) before they ship him with tessai, a childhood friend who he loves dearly, chooses to spend his time with, and has started a family with.

i’m not saying people have to ship what i ship. but i really can’t put into words how painful it is/was to see uratess, a sweet and very obvious thing to ship considering they have a family, passed over in favor of not just m/f ships but also other m/m ships that generally have little chemistry due to conflicting morals of the characters. i wouldn’t be so livid about it if maybe uratess was surpassed in popularity only by other nice m/m ships that have chemistry and make at least a bit of sense, like kisuke/shinji or kisuke/isshin. but the fact that it’s also surpassed in popularity by mayuri/kisuke or aizen/kisuke is kinda depressing if i’m totally honest.

this fandom has done uratess so dirty for so long and i don’t want it to continue, at least not without having spoken up about what i observe and how shitty it is. i intend to sail this damn ship myself if i have to.

im convinced its because hes not “conventionally attractive” and doesnt have the typical “anime boy bod” that most m/m shippers seem drawn to and its a real shame
