In August, I’ve turned to the great and legal 21! Yes, I’m a Virgo baby!
Being the I-don’t-have-many-friends kind of person I am, there was no big celebration nor the surprise like last year. I didn’t expect much, just like another grateful day to still be living I prepared myself for work. As I was getting ready, mom came to wish me a happy 21 and gave me necklace. While in Chinese tradition when a girl turns 21 are given a necklace with a key pendant, I got a pearl one which I hope there’s a meaning behind it.
The mystery flower delivery
Later I arrived at the office and start my day with some wishes from colleagues and 'close' colleagues. Approaching lunch time I got a weird call asking where I was from a Gojek driver. Said there a flower delivery, when I ask from whom, he ended the call. Not long after that, while in the midst of work puzzle, our office's office boy came and brought a beautiful bouquet of pink flowers with a card simply written 'Happy Birthday'. Boy did I hear those typical Indonesian 'ciye ciye' from my friends assuming I got it from a boyfriend. No! I do not have one and... aha! Knowing who the culprit was, I made a phonecall to that perdon and she giggled! Yes, she's the culprit of this prank. It's fishy that few weeks back she asked my lunch time and stuffs like that. I know it was you! Now the flower has perfectly wilted and still displayed in my room. :)
21 be as sweet as cupcakes!
Got back home with an Uber (gotta splurge a bit on my birthday, okay no it was raining I don't wanna take bus), entered home to a running Dora meowing and purring to which I hope she was saying "Happy Birthday Mama!" Then my mom passed me a shoe-box like box which I opened to find 6 cute little cupcakes with from sweet CiKathy! Aww, another heartfelt moments from 2 friends so far away yet so close!
The gold bank
As late as it gets, two weeks later, as I was packing for a camping trip with a couple of my friends (which explains the picture with tent above) in search of a power bank which was given from a friend. Lo and behold, I found a sweet message that it is my birthday present! This guy has the tendency to give me those ‘techy’ stuffs to which I truly thank him. I am that typical non-savvy girl so I appreciate the gesture! Ooh, it’s a gold-coloured power bank, hence the subtitle. :P
To end this post, I want to thank everyone for the wishes and gifts, you know who you are. ;) And I promise to write more on this blog even though no one reads it. *sighs* But let’s be imma be positive and wish that one day, I could like one of those top bloggers out there. *fingers crossed*
