Sara is laughing with laurel in heaven that ava married an alien hybrid clone of her
Ava clones
Why were they presented as a negative part in Ava's story. When Sara sees them she doesn't see human beings, why? If Ava is unique and is a human with a soul - aren't they also? Or we have to believe they are disposable goons that just need to be beaten up. And even of they are, did the show ever proved this? But what is the message behind this. That they are a threat to her uniqueness? How are people with twins supposed to feel about that? If there is a person who looks like you, this is a bad thing? Why didn't Ava felt them as sisters, wanted to get to know them. Ask how they feel? And should we forget that Ava was also disposable at one point, when Rip said that she is the 13th clone that joins the bureau. So even Ava we saw the first episode might not be Ava we see in episode 9. I am sorry but how are people fans of Ava and not bothered by this story. I know I would be.
SARA & NYSSA - Legends of Tomorrow 1.14 "River of Time" Requested by Anon
None of Avalance scenes is that beautiful, has this depth and real chemistry.
Getting tired of Avalance. Their relationship adds nothing to the story or even to the characters themselves. It’s toxic. The level of jealousy and pettiness that Ava puts into the relationship is far from healthy. Dating someone who would break your boundaries simply because they can’t handle waiting for you to tell them is not romantic. Dating someone who wants you to prioritize being “in their corner” over your own morality and everyone else in your life is not romantic. Dating someone who constantly ignores your feelings and makes decisions without considering you is not romantic.
Sara isn’t perfect either, but Ava’s “flaws” are giant red flags. And while there’s Ava talking about things with Sara, Sara never once talks about her trauma with her girlfriend, and once they get married, well, Sara no longer has thoughts or feelings that don’t have to do with Ava.
Mick Rory and Sara's sibling bond
We all know of Mick's love and Protective nature is shown where anything comes to sara and through the years he has become a big brother to Sara he loves her with all his heart and will try anything and do anything to make her happy.
He tried to get along with ava when she asked because Sara is his family and he just wants her to be happy so he really tried, while all Ava did was moan and make a big issue out of it like she didn't want to meet and get along with the only family Sara has left. Throughout the show Ava continuedly shows her dislike for mick and continuously calls him demeaning and other names that are not ok to be calling someone who could potentially be your brother in law but still she just kept going and insulting him like it was nothing to Sara's face without a hint of regret.
I believe that if Nyssa was on board the wave rider and was in ava's spot as Sara's girlfriend she would get to know Mick properly and respect him as a person and yes she may make comments about the way he acts but i believe that they could be curiosity to understand him as a person and not a joke to make fun of.
Thank you for reading, please dont leave negative comments and i hope you can understand this is my point of view and i hope you respect it just like i respect yours.
To be honest I hated that they had to make Sara fall for insecure child with a grown up body. Sara became a leader, a hero, a Paragon, and yet her love interest was someone who will be petty and jealous, and insecure about almost everything. I don't know how Nyssa would treat Mick, but I am sure Mick would have immediately accept Nyssa as authority and the queen she was.
Can I ask what you’re referencing when you say “And the drugging for sex thing”? I fully agree with everything else you said! I just can’t remember when this happened. Any info would be most appreciated. Thank you
So in s6, in the episode after Sara returned as an alien clone to the Legends, I think the western episode, we had Sara trying to explain to Ava, she is different and something has been done to her. Ava laughed and shrugged it off. Sara was also not feeling herself and was not into intimacy mood. But in the final scene between them Ava had put some alien aphrodisiac drug in Sara's drink, to make her in the mood for sex, and they immediately get it on.
Nyssara
Nyssara was a very good paring in my opinion and I know avalance is popular but I don’t really like it, Ava continuously takes leadership from Sara and then she would just smile and kiss her to make her quiet.
Then when Sara was possessed by malice mick was the one who really brought her back all Ava did was wake her from a dream basically.
Then we have the whole alien upducted situation where once again mick had to be the one to rescue her because Ava didn’t have it in her to say ‘oh my girlfriend needs me quick mick your captain’ she just had to keep being in control of the wave rider while Sara was suffering I know with no doubt in my mind that nyssa would have already have gotten to Sara and saved her as well.
Then there was the aftermath where Sara had come back and was basically traumatised and needed to talk about being transformed into part alien but then gets drugged which angers me.
Sorry for rambling it’s just my point of view you can comment but please no nasty ones.
I am with you on this. Nyssa and Sara were the real lover to enemies to lover again. Nyssa helped Sara to be stronger while Sara saved Nyssa's soul. By drugging herself, Sara showed Nyssa that she will not allow her to kill anyone else anymore, and also that Sara will not go after her but rather herself. There was something really strong going on there. While Ava never made Sara better, never helped her or was there when Sara needed her. Ava just manipulated Sara. Sara believed Ava is her last resort. I also hate how Ava never went to save Sara, never tried to understand her, listen to her. And the drugging for sex thing, after Sara lost her body, and was suffering find her identity was just cruel and rapish.

Captain Marvel starts to give even more Sara Lance vibes :D
But Sara Lance hands muscle work is stronger :)
Maybe Felicity was just lonely in her relationship with Oliver that is why she felt betrayed by his secret
I believe that the big outrage against Felicity is because she remains misunderstood and unexplored.
What made me fell in love with this show at first was the amazing character building of Oliver in s1. When I fist saw Amell without the beard in the hospital meeting Moira, with his perfect body and face, I was like - who is this Ken. But then the show cared so much about building Oliver as a character that I couldn't not fell in love with him, with all his flaws and pain. We see him scared on the island, hungry, helpless, desperate. Than we see him watching himself in the mirror with all his scars, having nightmares and sleeping in the rain. Watching his loved ones from a distance wearing a mask - all these small scenes where they build his state of mind even with out a dialogue.
The thing is they never gave Felicity the same treatment. In the whole show she had one origin episode, which was more about introducing a comics character - her boyfriend.
Her wheelchair aftermath episode was weird. We never had a character moments with her where she tries to do everyday things and struggles, or looks her self in the mirror, or have a ptsd - like Oliver had all these moments in s1. Instead we saw how Oliver is caring her around and being there for her all the time and she still leaves him, which makes every fan angry. So it feels like the writers wanted us to be angry at her, and not really understand her.
The only character moments she had were in s1 and 2 and were connected to how she is in love with Oliver.
People say s4 was Felicity and friends, we had her mother, father, Curtis, she is CEO and saves the day and so on, but this is all plot building and never a character building. We never see her emotional state of suddenly meeting her father, or having a flashback with her as a kid when he leaves, or understand why is she not close with her mother, or what it is like for her to be suddenly a CEO. She is just given all this stuff as an accessories but not as a character building.
It would have been so different if we had just little scenes were we see her how she feels, how she reacts to certain situations, how she shares personal things.
I feel like Laurel was treated similarly in s2 with her drinking. They did not spend time and scenes to show us why Laurel really drinks and how she feels but rather how she screws things up and is obnoxious to others. Example: the scene where she goes on a date, drinks wine and gets pulled over felt like we need to see what a mess she is and how she acts irresponsible, but if they just showed us a little scene with her at home where she looks at Tommy's picture and remembers his death, or how she remembers dragging her drunk father home, or how she almost dies, or puts Oliver's picture face down as he left her again, and when the guy calls her for a date she first refuses because she is hurt and not ready, but then accepts as he allures her with a case - I think would have been kind of different.
But lets get back to Felicity, it would have been completely different if they gave her a character moment where we understand why she leaves Oliver- maybe she was lonely with him - he had all these friends and team, while she has just him, we see her notice him sneaking around, or maybe explore her abandonment issues with her father and that is why she feels Oliver sending William away was wrong, and so on.
The Arrow and The Canary
Only recently started watching DC’s Legends of Tomorrow and I finished season six and it was. It was shit. It’s like the entire season was to insert Ava into the captain position, which was completely unnecessary (I’m of the opinion that making her co-captain took away from Sara’s leadership role, something she didn’t really want in the first place).
I haven’t watched season seven, but from what I’ve heard about the Avalance baby, I’ve gotta say, I’m not a fan. The sapphic couple having a sudden unplanned pregnancy and just accepting it makes it harder to like the couple because it takes away the only thing I really liked about them. That they didn’t want normalcy. The marriage, in my opinion, really didn’t work for when it happened, and just felt like they were trying to domesticate them. I wasn’t ever a fan of Avalance, what with Ava being unreasonably jealous of Oliver after he literally died, and just her general extreme insecurity, but making them more normal was completely unnecessary.
I still love this show, but it definitely slowly (meaning very quickly) went downhill. There are too many things to point out that I just flat-out dislike, and they definitely outnumber the things that I like about it. In case it wasn’t obvious, my brain is mostly attached to Sara, so that’s what the post centers around, though there are definite things I disliked about the handling of every character and relationship.
Caity Lotz abs appreciation 😍.
