Chapter 5

Julian POV

Ahhhhhh. The first month of school is finally over, and we bout to turn up this weekend. We were gonna celebrate our newest single going viral in just 9 days! Everyone loved our song with Patrick. We’re also gonna celebrate B5’s comeback. The party is gonna be turnt!

I’d been over Shauna’s house after school everyday this month. We had been catching up on everything that’s been going on over the last few years. I want her cousin’s to feel welcome, so I invited them to come to the party tonight. Then afterwards, a few of us would crash at my house. Tonight’s gonna be bomb.

  Langston POV

Me and JoAnna had gotten real close over the last few weeks. About 2 weeks after school started, her and I had a long convo about us. We decided that we would try out the whole “friends with benefits” thing. It was really all her idea. I mean, I knew she felt some type of way about me, I just think she’s afraid of being hurt. So why not have all the perks of being in a relationship, without ruining it with labels? It’s every guys dream, and the fact that it was her idea, made me that more attracted to her.

But I couldn’t help but wonder, why was she so willing to give it up? I hadn’t even tried to do anything with her before she brought the idea up to me… Me and her had smashing repeatedly over the last few weeks. It was great.

  Shane POV

Indigo came to me a few days ago with some problems she was having with her boyfriend. Which is crazy, because up until that day, I didn’t know she had a boyfriend. But whatever. She said he was too busy for her, and asked what she should do. Me being me, I said she should leave him. Like, why the hell would I tell you to stay with him, when I’m tryna get up in that ass?? That’s not the only thing I want from her, obviously. I still thought about her kiss constantly.

  JoAnna POV

*phone rings*

Me: Hello?

?: Hey baby

Me: Ugh, how did you get my number Issa?

Issa: It’s not that hard.

Me: What do you want?

Issa: You baby

Me: Issa leave me alone

Issa: I’m fuckin tired of you saying that. You don’t want me? fine. But if I cant have you, none of those Cali nigga can either.

Me: …

Issa: Yea, you didn’t think I knew where you lived?

  I hung up. Why is he so crazy? Issa was my crazy ass ex from Seattle. Same old sad love story; guy doesn’t realize what he has, guy looses girl, guy tries to get her back. Best believe I was done with him. All my focus was on Langston, everything was falling into place.

  Author POV

Later that night at the club. Everything was going great. B5, The Rangers, and DnS had all arrived and the crowd went crazy. B5 was looking for a girl to bring up on stage, so they could perform their song. Carnell finally went and pulled a girl from the VIP section. It was Shauna. He grabbed her hand, pulled her up on the stage and had her sit on a seat.

She looked over at the VIP section and started laughing. Julian and Langston were imitating Terio from Vine, and doing the ‘Ohh Kill’em dance”.

Carnell walked over to where Shauna was sitting and told her that at one point during the song, Patrick would walk over to her and grab her hand. When he grabbed her hand, he would pull her to the middle of the stage and the group would dance around her during the part of “Say Yes” when Kelly’s voice was chopped and screwed. Shauna wasn’t even listening, she was lost in Carnell’s eyes. And I just like that, she was sprung.

  Shauna POV

What did he say? They were gonna pull me to the middle of the stage and do what? I couldn’t even focus, he was so close to me, I felt like I was gonna fall out of my clothes. I know I was looking at Carnell crazy.

  Carnell: You got that?

Me: Huh? Yea, yea I got it

  He knew I wasn’t listening, so he just chuckled and stood in his formation on the stage. The song began and the crowd went wild. I loved this song! I tried not to sing along, but it was so hard. When it was time, Patrick walked over, all smooth and sexy, and grabbed my hand. I think my heart fell into my butt. Lord Jesus!

He pulled me to the middle, and the boys began to dance around me.

“If I ask you this question, you gon tell me yes?”

Oh I wish that part of the song lasted forever so I could stay in the middle of the 5 finest men on the planet.

When the part was over, Carnell grabbed my hand and led me back over to my seat on stage. They finished the song and crowd erupted. I sat there frozen for a second. Then I got up. They came over to me, and all gave me hugs.

  Julian POV

Before we left the club, Carnell came over and asked me to give Shauna his number. Sike nigga. I’m not about to get her involved in this shit. That nigga’s not about to try my bestfriend. Hell he thought?

  Shauna: You ready?

Me: Yea let’s go

Shauna: Where we headed?

Me: My crib, we’re having a sleepover

Chapter 4 (RATED R)

Julian POV

  I carried Keira up to her room and sat her on the bed. I began taking off her clothes without our lips ever breaking contact. I licked from her lips down to her neck, and she let out a small moan. I took her shirt off, and cupped one of her breast in my hand. I licked and sucked it as she grabbed the back of head for support. I moved on the other breast, and by this time she was soaking wet, I felt it through her shorts.

  I don’t think I’ve ever moved faster in my life. I didn’t even get fully dressed. I just put on my boxers, grabbed the rest of my clothes and ran out on her balcony. She was on the 2nd floor, so it wouldn’t be a far drop if I jumped. But if I jumped, I would land in front of the kitchen door, which from what I heard, is exactly where her dad is. I heard him making his way up the stairs, so I jumped and ran as fast as I could to the woods behind her house.

I finally stopped running after a minute, and sat down at the curb. I’m kinda pissed I didn’t park closer to Keira’s house. I always park far away in case something like this happens, but damn I’m tired. I began putting the rest of my clothes on, and I knew I looked crazy as hell putting on my clothes on the sidewalk.

I began walking back to my car, when I saw Shauna’s car pulling into her driveway. What is she doing home? School just started. As she got out of her, she caught a glimpse of me, and gave me a half smile. She’d looked like she’d been crying.

  Me: Shauna?

Shauna: Hey Julian

Me: Hey, what are you doing home?

Shauna: I wasn’t feeling school today

  I could tell there was more to that story by the way she looked at the ground

  Me: Are your parents home?

Shauna: No, they’d kick my ass of they knew I was skipping already

Me: Wanna talk?

Shauna: …yea, come in.

  I followed her inside. She told me everything that was going on with her and Kenny, and how him and Spotlight tag teamed her this morning. The story was kind of funny, but I held in my laughter. Then I asked her why we all haven’t spoken in the last few years.

  Shauna: Y’all niggas got all Hollywood, acted like yall didn’t know.

Me: Don’t even fuckin play, that’s what you want to believe. We’re the same guys we’ve always been.

Shauna: Sure Julian

Me: Ugh you’re still the same annoying ass girl you’ve always been.

Shauna: …Do you ever miss it?

Me: Miss what?

Shauna: Life before all the youtube fame? When stuff was simple?

Me: Yea, all the time. But we had to grow up sometime.

Shauna: Do you ever miss me?

Me: All the time

Shauna: I miss you too

Me: You’re still my bestfriend Shauna. And it used break my heart when we’d walk past each other in the hallway and the only person you would acknowledge was Kenny.

Shauna: Because Kenny was the only one that acted like he knew me

Me: I was your bestfriend though. And I felt you never supported us.

Shauna: I did support you, but I felt like the jerkin and the music came before me.

Me: Nothing comes before family, and you were like family. And I’ll be here for you Shauna, as long as you let me be here.

  She kissed me on the cheek, and layed her head on my shoulder. I’m glad I got my bestfriend back.

  Day Day POV

  *after school, at the studio*

We were all headed to the studio because our manager said he got us hooked up with a great callabo. When we walked in, we were greeted by B5. They were the bros. Their songs were dope, especially their newest single “Say Yes”. The song we were doing was going to have Patrick’s vocals on the chorus. While we were recording the song, the rest of his brothers went into another studio to start recording their own song.

The only one missing was Julian. Where the hell was he?

I called him to find out

  Julian: *half sleep* Hello?

Me: Hello? Nigga, where the hell are you?

Julian: What you mean?

Me: We were supposed to meet at the studio at 3

Julian: What time is it now?

Me: If I’m calling you, what time you think it is?

Julian: Shit, my bad, I fell asleep over Shauna house.

Me: The hell? Explain when you get here.

Julian: I’m on my way

  Julian POV

  Damn theyre gonna kick my ass when I get there.

  Me: Hey, you wanna go to the studio?

Shauna: I don’t know, I gonna go take a shower. And I might meet yall there. If I do, can I bring JoAnna and Shane

Me: Sure.

  I kissed her on the cheek and ran out the door. Shiiiiiit, I’m sooooo late.

Chapter 3

Langston POV

  *standing in the breakfast line*

I’m so tired, this line is long as hell, and the girl in front of me smells like bounce that ass. I happened to turn around and look at the end of the line, and that’s when I saw her. Shauna’s fine ass cousin.

Damn

She was way sexier than I remembered. And when did she get all that ass?? I wonder if she’d let me hit…

  Julian POV

  I was in the process of finding my locker when I felt someone pull me into a closet.

Kiera: It’s me baby

Me: That didn’t answer my question. The fuck you doing?

  Shane POV

  Did she really just kiss me? A big grin spread across my face. Payback, ey? I remember that day like it was yesterday.

Way back when we were all like 14, me, JoAnna, Shauna, Kenny, Chris, Julian, Spolight, Indigo, and another girl named Keira were all at Julian’s house playing truth or dare. And needless to say, everyone kissed someone that night. At one point Spotlight dared me to kiss Indigo, so I did. I gave her a punkass kiss though, I wasn’t trying to tongue her down in front of everyone else. Later on that night, when everyone was downstairs watching a movie, she had gone upstairs to get something, and I followed. She didn’t know I was behind her until she got to the top of the stairs. Lo and fucking behold, he’s the first person I see when I turn the corner to go to my locker. I tried to keep my face down as I walked past him toward my locker.

Me: I thought that went without saying..

Me: Nigga do you not remember what you said to me last night?

Kenny: I do, I was there. Does that mean we cant be cool? Cuz if so, you need to stop being so sensitive.

Kenny: I’m pretty sure I wasn’t the one that just tried to walk past and not say anything.

Me: Whatever Kenny, leave me alone

  I started to walk away when I overheard him talking to Spotlight

  Kenny: See, I told you she was a damn looney toon

Spotlight: I believe it. She’s bomb, but she needs some damn help.

  Me: Tf? Spotlight shut the hell up, and don’t talk about shit you don’t know about.

Spotlight: You mean that fact that you and Kenny been fucking for a few months, and last night he dumped you because you’re biggest aspiration in life was to be someone’s bottom bitch? Don’t be mad at me, because I’m not the one that kicked you to the curb.

Me: …

Spotlight: And to think, I was actually on YOUR side.

  Kenny and Spotlight walked away in the opposite direction. And there I stood, alone. Is this really what everyone thinks about me? That I’m just this stupid girl? Gosh man. The halls were filled with people, but I had never felt so alone.

Chapter 2

Shauna POV

The breeze hit me in the worst way possible.

  I finally got to the park after a few minutes and sat down on the swing. I should’ve worn pants man.

After like 5 minutes, I started to get impatient. Where the hell was Kenny’s ass?

He finally walked up and stood up in front of me.

  Me: Damn, late much?

Kenny: That’s the first thing you say when you see me?

Me: I would’ve said some cute shit had you been on time

Me: *smiles*

  He lifted me up off of the swing and sat down in my place. Then he pulled me on top of him

  Me: Kenny I don’t wanna have sex in the park at 3 in the morning.

  I started getting up off of his lap

Me: I don’t need you to lecture me Kenny.

Kenny: Look whatever. I’m trying to give you some knowledge, so you don’t fuck around and make the same mistake again. I like you, I really do, but I need a girl who wants to be MY girl, not my bottom bitch. Get your priorities straight.

  I just stared at him. He got up, kissed my forehead, and then turned around and walked away. Did I really just get dumped by a guy that wasn’t even my boyfriend?

  Langston POV

I rolled over and looked at the alarm on my phone, which was blasting “Push It”.

Ugh 1st day of school and I felt like shit. Me, Spot, Julian, and Day Day had the bright idea of going out last night, and we didn’t get in until 4 this morning.

When I was driving home this morning, I rode past the playground and saw Kenny with his shorty Shauna. Damn she was fine, she was stupid though. She knew Kenny was messing with other girls, and she still stood by his side like a lost puppy. Probably waiting to see if he’d ever ask her to be his girlfriend. But knowing Kenny, he wouldn’t.

I heard Shauna’s fine ass cousin finally moved over here. It’s about time. We all used to hang out over the summer whenever her and her brother would visit, but that was when we were younger. Ever since The Rangers and Drip’n Steeze got popular, we all kind of fell out of touch.

I knew Shauna and them since we were all about 6 years old, but I haven’t spoken to her since like 8th grade. We were all still tight with Frezh and Switch though, since Frezh did a lot of editing for our music videos.

I got up, and took a shower. After getting dressed, I walked down stairs and tried to find something to eat. I saw my mom sitting at the table with her head down.

  Langston: Ma…Ma…MOM WAKE UP!

Mom: I’m up, I’m up.

Langston: Mom why you sleeping down here again?

Mom: I got in late from work honey, I just happened to fall asleep down here.

Langston: Mom don’t lie, did you and pop get into another fight?

Mom: Don’t worry about me and your father, you need to get some breakfast. What do you want? Some eggs? Toast?

  I looked at the clock

  Langston: No I’m good, I’m gonna be late. I have to go meet everyone at Day Day’s house.

Mom: Have a good day baby.

  She kissed my cheek and walked upstairs. I couldn’t help but feel nervous. Maybe I should stay home from school today. I knew that whenever my parent fought, my dad would make my mom sleep downstairs, and lately, she been down here a lot. He’s never put his hands on her, as far as I know. But if he ever did, I’d kill him- no hesitation. Fuck him.

I decided to text my brother Madison and let him know

  Lang: “hey, I caught ma sleep in the kitchen again”

Mad: “that 2 weeks straight. What the hell is going on over there?”

Lang: “hell if I know, I’m never home”

Mad: “maybe that’s the problem.”

Lang: “don’t do that shit, this isn’t my fault”

Mad: “I didn’t say it was, maybe I need to come home.”

Lang: “yea maybe”

  He texted me back but I didn’t open it right away. Damn my brother was a dickhead. When I pulled up to Day Day’s house, I saw everyone standing outside talking. They turned around to face me when they saw me coming.

  Kenny: She’s fucking crazy!

Chris: It’s your damn fault she’s like that, you keep giving her a reason to stick around.

Spot: Yea, it’s like you’re dangling the possibility of her being your girlfriend right in front of her face

Kenny: She just has a lot of growing up to do. That’s not my damn responsibility. I’m not raising her. I’m not her daddy.

Day Day: You her “big poppa” when you wanna be

  They all started cracking up

  Me: Who?

Julian: Shauna

Spot: Sexy ass

Me: Her cousin is bomb too

Chris: True, I’m tryna get with that.

Day Day: SIKE! Then you woke up. Remember a few years back when you put dead earthworms in her food? She never forgave you.

Julian: Yea, you can’t get ass from someone you gave dead worms too

Kenny: Yep, and then you didn’t even tell her until after she ate them.

Chris: That was like 5 years ago! If she’s not over that by now, then shit…

  By the time we made it to school, breakfast line was super long.

  Shane POV As me, Shauna, and JoAnna made it to school, I tried to look around see if I saw anyone familiar. Then I saw her: Indigo Vanity. Daaaaaaaamn she was so cute. I haven’t seen her in a few years, but boy oh boy, it was worth the wait. I wonder if she remembered me

  JoAnna:  You should go talk to her if you’re gonna stare like that

Me: What?

JoAnna: I see the drool on your lip, go talk to her, see if she remembers you. I’m gonna go get some breakfast.

  I started walking over to Indigo. She was with a bunch of girls that I’d never seen before. Before I got the nerve to tap her shoulder, she turned around and looked at me

  Me: I don’t know if you remember me, but I’m Shane, Shauna’s cousin. We all used to hang out when we were younger and-

Before I finished, she smiled, and put her arms around my neck.

  Indigo: Shane! You’re finally back!

Me: You remember me?

  Then, she stood on her tippy toes, and kissed my lips.

  Indigo: That was payback.

  She winked at me, and then walked away with her friends.

Lean On Me (An Allstar Story) : Ch. 1

JoAnna’s POV:

Damnit! Why can’t I sleep??

  “What is wrong with you” I whispered to myself.

“JoAnna if you go to sleep right now, you can still get 4 hours of sleep, c’mon bruh!”

  No matter how much I yelled at myself, I couldn’t fall asleep.

After a whole summer of mentally preparing myself, I finally thought I was ready.

The 1st day of school was tomorrow. But to be honest, I was a nervous wreck.

I had spent half of my summer in New York visiting family, and the rest of my summer adjusting to my new home in Los Angeles.

Technically I wasn’t really the “new” girl. I had a lot of family living in Cali, and I spent a few of my summer’s and Christmases here.

Over the summer I had been presented with an opportunity. My mom and dad gave me and my twin brother Shane the choice of moving with them to Atlanta or moving in with my aunt and her family. You see, we’re army brats and we’ve moved about 7 times since Shane and I were born.

I have 2 little sisters named Jenna(2) and Aundrea(4), and an older brother named Christian(20). My little sisters went with my parents of course, but they finally decided to give me and Shane a choice. They thought since we’re 17,  we should have the choice of either being uprooted and moving to a brand new city again, or moving to a city that we were already comfortable with. So we chose here!

We moved in with our Aunty Annie in July, and man was it hot! I swear I’ve gotten 3 shades darker since moving here.

My aunt’s house was huge! Her husband had big government job, so the cash was just rolling in. His job requires him to travel a lot, so he’s really only home a few months out of the year. They had 3 children, Shauna(17), Travis(18) and Josiah(15).

Moving in wasn’t hard, all we had to do was ship all of our stuff there. The hard part was me and Shane having to drive our cars down from Seattle. Our mom was a little on edge because I had just gotten my license a few weeks before the move, and Shane was just a reckless driver. I swear my mom always got out of the car with more grey hairs than before whenever she let Shane drive.

16 hours in the car with my dad and Aundrea was hell. And I bet Shane felt the same being with my mom and Jenna.

So far, I’m loving Cali…

  *hears a soft knocking sound on the wall*

Me: “what Shane?”

Shane: “you sleep?”

Me: “yes nigga..”

Shane: “lyin ass”

Me: “shut up man damn”

Shane: “don’t get slapped hoe”

Me: “fuck up Shane”

  *silence*

  After a few minutes I got up, put my slippers on and opened the door that adjoined me and Shane’s rooms. The moment I opened the door, I saw Shane reaching for the handle at the same time.

That’s the weird thing about having a twin; you kind of think the same thing without even knowing it.

  “You nervous too?” Shane said, sitting back down on his bed.

“Yea, I don’t know why though. Shauna’s gonna be with us” I said, lying on his bed looking at the ceiling.

  Shane: “This is year will be different though, we’ll actually go into school knowing people before hand. We’re not starting all the way over…”

Me: “I know I know, why are we nervous then?”

Shane: “Cuz it’s not what we’re used to. We’re so used to being the new kids. The weird kids. The kids that speak a bunch of different languages and keep to themselves. We’re not used to having a bunch of friends and family around us. Now, we won’t be alone.”

  I didn’t say anything, but I knew Shane could sense me smiling. We finally had a chance at being normal.

  Shauna POV

I love my cousins to death, but if they don’t shut the hell up in 2.5 seconds, I will set shit off in this house! That’s 1 of the things I hated about this house, all of the rooms on the left side of the 2nd floor were adjoined by doors. It made it that much easier to hear what was going on in the other rooms
