Hello hello from the other side of finals - I made it through the 1L! At least, I think? Grades will come in 3 weeks.

Wow ok already roughly 3-4 games into the season for teams. Wish I could say Ive caught enough action to really give some informed opinions, but Im def playing catch up. And so low in mental energy after exams lol.
But here goes quick impressions (which I would love to hear your thoughts building off of):
Vegas is just like last year. Will say I dont like Carter, but seems she's been a beneficial add on the court so far. GSV appears to be solid as last year too. MN has managed to look better than I thought they would in the early stretch tbh. I think POR and SEA wont win consistently this year but have a good long term outlook. Struggle bus times for CT understandably, but I do think they'll click some more in the near future + get healthier. I cant get a read on TOR just yet. I go back and forth on ATL, such a team of runs in all their games so far. Feels like they sometimes just make it hard on themselves? CHI and PHX arent champ contenders to me, but either seem capable of playing well enough to push any top tier opponent in an individual game. Granted thats generally true across the WNBA, I guess I just see them as teams even quality opponents will especially not look fwd to playing if that makes sense. LA just off to a confusingly poor start, we'll see. NY too beat up to really know/get too frustrated with, but plenty of positives for now. WAS I simply thank you for beating Indy while it was possible lol. DAL is a big ol tbd (bball Gods please be kind)!
I havent followed closely enough to give a fair recap as far as individual players go. And its just hard to find much of a theme this early on.. But anyone impressed or disappointed you thus far? Surprises in your opinion?

Ah I'm replying so late omg we're 10 games into the season now so my takes on your takes are very foresight is 2020 lmao.
Vegas and GSV are definitely very solid. Minnesota are the favorites. Lowkey have been very surprised by how good Portland looks.
Seattle is clearly tanking for the future but I have some concerns about their need for a PG and who they'd take in the daft to fit that. I suppose Hannah? Also it saddens me that Flau's shooting is so garbage when she's in the most optimal situation to personally thrive. Also very glad they have Dom back!
Connecticut is also clearly tanking but the vibes seem kinda horrid over there unlike Seattle who seem to be enjoying the tank to an extent.
Toronto is gonna make the playoffs but I don't think they'll make much noise.
ATL is a great defensive team but their offense is so questionable and I just don't believe in Rhyne and Allisha when the lights get bright.
Phoenix has surprised me with how awful they are and Chicago just can't escape the injury but even when they do, I doubt they improve that much. Very saddened by the Rickea injury, I feel like there was an MIP coming for her for sure.
LA is LA. No defense, just offense and unfortunately for KP, who I think actually probably has a case for MVP, just too ass for that to happen.
As for my Liberty, health is a big issue and they might actually be suffering from too much talent. I just need Stewie to get it together and hopefully Sabrina comes back soon though back injuries worry me greatly.
Washington is also tanking but frankly I think they drafted stupidly this year and as a Betts believer, I hate the way they're using her.
Dallas looks good....despite them fucking over all my Azzi agendas, at least this usage is coming with wins because low usage and losses would've been horrible. Also think they're really hindering the MVPaige possibilties with how they use her too. But at least I've become a big Jess Sheperd fan!
