I like to imagine that, in the Corvo route of Dishonored 2, the citizens of Dunwall who were around for the first game go into fucking lockdown *immediately.*

The loudspeaker is like, "Lord Protector Corvo Attano, who is also the Crown Killer, is wanted for treason,"

And the people who saw what happened last time are just nailing their doors shut like, "Oh hell no, I'm not falling for this again, we'll start going outside once he overthrows the part of the government trying to frame him!"

This is, incidentally, why I firmly believe that the Emily route is canon, because even Delilah isn't conceited enough to let Corvo run around and would have petrified him before anything else.
