UNDERFELL’s Echo Update Releases on October 1st, 2017

Without further delay, here’s the full changelog. Keep in mind, this is still subject to change, but is mostly final.
♥ The initial demo has been extended.
We have added many new rooms and have introduced your second follower, Greater Dog. You’ll be meeting Greater Dog directly after you encounter UNDERFELL Sans & Papyrus for the first time. Greater Dog is voiced by the lovely and ever-talented @kyzer-aqueron!
♥ Welcome to the Doodle Sphere.
The Doodle Sphere is Ink!Sans’ way of going Echo-to-Echo. Ink!Sans is owned by @comyet (@myebi). The Doodle Sphere is a place of wonder, and will serve as your base-of-operations when doing Echo content.
♥ Every character now has expressive busts (portraits) for use in-dialog.
This has been a requested feature for quite some time. Our wonderful main artist, @whimsy-floof (@whimseeker) is pain-stakingly digitally drawing each character portrait for your sick, sick entertainment. Some may not make it in the update, and will be added as time goes on.
♥ Battle scenes now have fully digitally painted backgrounds.
Our new background artist, @mnstrcndy has digitally painted a wonderful set of battle backgrounds for our use. Now you can fight and admire the scenery!
♥ Various new digitally-painted backgrounds added to the game.
Once again, @mnstrcndy has put out some beautifully-rendered backgrounds for use in-game. Earlier above, you can see one of the two Doodle Sphere backgrounds. Directly above, you can see the old Ruins background that will be displayed in one of the more memorable rooms from the original UNDERTALE.
♥ Every in-game character sprite now has an idle animation.
No longer will they be standing completely still as if they were just through a traumatic experience! Our sprite artist, @ilexdamenshi, has cooked up some idle animations for each character. Some may not make it in the update, and will be added as time goes on.
♥ Toriel’s voice actor has been changed.
Originally, we did not want AderuMoro to be the voice of Toriel - but we were running out of options and were on a time-crunch. Our lovely voice actress, @synistersyrup, is now the voice of Toriel!
Because of a disagreement with Ink, Error will now become a large problem in the Echo storyline of the game. Error is owned by @loverofpiggies. Rumors abound that Error isn’t the only glitch… @xedramon might know more.
♥ Cross!Sans will now be playable in an introduction sequence of the Echo storyline.
Chasing an anomaly, Cross!Sans will cross paths with encounter Error and it probably won’t end well. New alliances will be forged, and new enemies will be found. Cross!Sans is owned by @jakei95 and is voiced by @sskeleton08.
♥ You can now enter room where the Monster Candy bowl is.
♥ Floor cracks have been replaced with chests.
♥ Lore objects have been added.
Hidden throughout UNDERFELL and UNDERFELL’s Echoes will be items called lore objects. Collecting these items will provide some brief history and insight into the character it’s meant for. Some may even provide powerful buffs or perks. Once again, the lore object art is lovingly painted by @mnstrcndy.
♥ Holiday events have been added to the game.
Decorations for Halloween and the holidays have been placed all over the Underground during their respective months. Rumors of a party at Sans’ & Papyrus’ house during the holidays have been circulating, but no can confirm this as-of-yet.
♥ Introducing world quests!
You can go through the Echo storyline and find world quests, which are repeatable and random. They reward upgrade tokens, which allow you to upgrade your weapons and armor past the maximum damage/armor they have.
♥ You can now recruit followers!
During the Echo storyline, you’ll be able to recruit Echo followers. Each Echo follower will have their own strength and weaknesses. Some may not join you if you’re genocidal or pacifist. It all depends on their alignment!
As of now, you’ll be able to recruit Cross!Sans (owned by @jakei95, star of @xtaleunderverse) Underswap!Sans & Underswap!Papyrus (voiced by @crashboombanger) and Fresh (owned by @loverofpiggies). Followers can only join you to help with world quests.
♥ Travel to the world of Underswap!
Error has been spotted in Underswap, and Ink needs your help in calming him down. Head to the Doodle Sphere and answer the LITERAL call to action!
♥ Frisk’s voice has been completely removed.
This was more of a design choice than anything else. Frisk’s voice files take up way too much space.
I can’t say much about them other than that they’ll be your new tutorial! Chara is voiced by @asmolpiglet.
♥ Some voice lines have been changed or updated.
A lot of you did not seem to understand Sans’ relationship with his brother, Papyrus. I’ve rewritten some dialog to make it more clear and have had some lines re-voiced.
♥ We’ve added an objective tracker.
Basically like UNDERFELL’s version of a quest-log. Keep track of what you’re doing and what you need to do next!
Based on your actions, your followers will react to what you say and what you do to other people. Either negatively or positively - some may even refuse to talk to you if they dislike you. Be careful about what you say!
@ietsudv has been hard at work cookin’ up a ton of new, custom music for your enjoyment for use in-game.

There’s a lot of changes not listed that will be present. Tons of new content and tons of fun. Once this update is out, we’ll be focusing on finishing this full game!
