Un reconocimiento recibido con mucha demora.

Un relato bélico, con mucho potencial desaprovechado en post del melodrama, cuyo guión superficial, pierde la oportunidad de ahondar en la parte humana de los personajes, consiguiendo desembocar en una historia insulsa y protocolaria, de texto ligero, en la que echamos de menos el riesgo narrativo.

Con actuaciones muy desequilibradas. En general, no se consigue conectar con los protagónicos y sobresalen más los secundarios, como en el caso de Susan Sarandon o Sarah Jeffery. También hay actuaciones insufribles como la de Shanice Williams o Jay Reeves. Cabe mención especial a Dean Norris.

Visualmente también peca de irregularidad. Quiere llegar a ser superproducción pero se planta en producto de plataforma correcto. Le sobra metraje, algunos efectos digitales se ven toscos y a su música le falta mucha épica.

En definitiva, Seis Triple Ocho, pese a ser otro drama de guerra más; reivindicativo y sin demasiado acierto narrativo ni actoral, se disfruta porque su historia real es encomiable, y busca aunque tarde y torpemente, dar el lugar que se merece a este batallón olvidado injustamente. Así que, no retrases más la entrega y abre el sobre de esta gran historia.
