Anyway the Pokemon franchise is the one that [interests] me the most, it’s unashamedly honest in it's ultra consumerist agenda with its tagline 'Gotta Catch'em All!' - the aim is to accumulate everything just like in real life! To do so you have to buy multiple versions of the same game and then with each subsequent new game there are even more Pokemon to collect. A self-perpetuating cycle of endless choice, it's a mini capitalist nightmare or utopia depending on where you find yourself in that system.

I’m very interested in the primal desire to make a mark of any kind. So I’d like to have non-verbal drinks with those people that made the cave paintings. Just to sit and watch and drink with them. I am interested in how and under what circumstances these things act on us psychologically and emotionally. I am interested in fragmentation as a gesture. To purposefully truncate what was originally a complete or “finished” image is another way of intervening in the picture plane. I am interested in the collision between representation (mostly virtual or computer- mediated) and materialization which I think is so characteristic of contemporary experience.

There is something interesting about examining a presentation of objects that have no intended organization.

I am interested in the anthropological importance of decoration as a process and in its application in objects, and I play with this by challenging fixed ideas and unconscious meaning. I convert everyday materials into something new, as in Manzanas [Apples] where geometric forms adorn fake plastic fruits.
