Of Upgrades and Controlling Minds || Mister Clever and Miss Clever || nooneunimportant
While there was a brief moment in which the physical body he inhabited betrayed him with a soft moan, the Planner growled and ignored he’d even made such a sound. He grabbed her wrists and shoved them down onto the table.
"You will cease this ridiculous behavior. You are faulty. Your circuitry must be fixed. I do not have interest in the activities of which you are implying."
He raised one of his arms, brandishing one of the tools he had grabbed. “Your conversion will be painless so long as you do not resist.”
"I am not faulty! You can't just do this to me, we're equals! Both of us are Planners!" She darted her one free hand up, snatching the tool from him and tossing it aside, as if that was all she needed to do for avoiding the conversion. She liked being like this, liked being chaotic. And she was convinced her needed her like this for their plans to work.
"Mister Clever. . . You may say you're not interested, but I know I heard you moan. Can't you give in just this once?" Her hand moved to the back of his head, tugging on his hair and pulling him close, leaving their faces mere inches apart.
"What do you say?"
“You’re a Cyberplanner?” She couldn’t be more impressed with the level of technology. It’s incredible.
Think of what they could do with this? " I have specimens already. With your technology and my laboratory, the possibilities are” A pause, calculating. ” —endless. “
"Yes. Believe me, I wanted a better body than this human's. I work with what I get though." She likes this one.
"Endless, indeed. We could even take a few of my. . . Soldiers." Playthings, more like, but she wouldn't reveal that. "When shall we begin?"

The Planner glared at her, pushing her back and pulling her legs apart after a moment of simply staring her down. “Do not make me call others in here to restrain you as I fix your conversion.”
He moved to walk away, grabbing at some tools on a nearby table. “I would like for you to stay still and cooperate. I know you prefer to be rebellious, due to your faulty circuitry, but I will soon fix that.”
Clever moved toward her once more, this time pushing her down onto the table. “Lay down and do as I say. This will only take a moment.”
Miss Clever made a faint growling sound, watching him with narrowed eyes. He was wrong. Nothing was wrong with her circuitry, he was lying! There was no way she would let him fix her, she had no need to be fixed! "You won't call anyone in, I know that."
When he pushed her down, she smirked, reaching up to brush her fingers against his own outward circuits. "You don't really want to do this, do you? You might benefit from me being the way I am. . ."
Her fingers curled in his hair, and she tugged him down, pressing her lips to his. "In more ways than one, Clever. Ever wanted to find out how a human's body works with a Time Lord's?
[She’s caught her interest now. If there’s one thing the Time Lady gravitates towards, it’s experimentation.] "Upgrade? Curious choice of word.” [India has the world’s second largest population. Plenty of test subject to trial this on.]
[She wants to laugh, really. The defective Planner steps closer to the other, a small laugh managing to slip past her lips.] "Yes. It's a good choice of word for Cyberplanners, really." [There is no worry in her voice when she reveals what she is. She's already caught the other's interest, after all.]

Clever noticed the response, stilling in his movements for just a moment as he glanced her over. Analyzing the noise and relating it to human sounds within The Doctor’s memory banks. After a few more checks, the Planner gave a groan of dislike in response.
"You should not feel any intimacy from this action. I believe I’ve already found out the problem."
"You never fully converted. You have kept too many elements from your human host. You were to keep the neural pathways and creativity but not any physical yearning."
"You are incomplete."
You are incomplete.
If there was any sort of insult a Cyberplanner could have, and from another Cyberplanner at that, it would be the accusation of being incomplete. She already knew she could be a bit. . . defective, preferring chaos over the cleverness she knew she had. But Miss Clever would not allow anyone to claim that she was incomplete!
"I converted! I am not incomplete! I'm a perfectly converted, whole, and clever Cyberplanner, same as you! Who the hell gave you the damn right to accuse me of being incomplete?!"
Miss Clever grabbed the other Planner, pulling him towards her and locking her legs around him. "There is no problem, Mister Clever."

Unfortunately she fell right into Clever’s trap. Hook, line & sinker as the saying went. “Do wipe the smile off your face dear. Smugness doesn’t suit you.” With a roll of her eyes and a click of those heels she was following the other woman.
Her efforts to remain indifferent, while admirable, failed and she was soon giving way to curiosity. “How many are there? In total I mean, not including body parts if as you say, they’re stragglers.”
Oh, she wanted to laugh now. The Doctor's wife, following after her, thinking nothing bad would be happening to her. She thought she was prepared. Miss Clever wondered if she even had a weapon on her. Records would indicate yes, which would complicate things. She'd find out when they reached the hideaway.
She was silent for most of the way, even when River asked the question. It was only when they were nearly there that she spoke.
"Oh, not many. In total, maybe less than a dozen. You'll see though." She opened the door to her hideaway, motioning for the other woman to enter first. "After you."

"You are not allowed to work on our Cybermen." The Planner said, blunt and to the point. "It is my suspicion that your programming may be off. You are to undergo an upgrade while here, Lady Clever.” He really didn’t like her having a name so similar to his own chosen one and he refused to call her such until she was an asset to their operation instead of a hindrance.
Mister Clever stood, walking over to her and quickly beginning to examine the hardware on her features. “You have caused quite a waste of our resources. This needs to end immediately.”
Despite feeling a bit smug that he said 'our' and not even caring what he truly meant, she was unhappy when he claimed her programming was off. It wasn't her fault that she had chosen a damn human to upgrade! Nothing like Time Lord minds, but there was nothing wrong with her programming. Miss Clever grumbled a correction under breath when he called her Lady Clever again. What gave him the right to decide that she - oh.
The other Planner shut her eyes when he began to examine the hardware, a pleased sound escaping her. She had no idea where that had come from or how she could even make that noise, but she really didn't care, finding herself enjoying this a bit too much. Another problem with upgrading a human, she supposed.

The Planner glanced up from his work. To any outside viewers, he was simply sitting at a table, still as a statue. But to those who understood his function, he was processing data at such a speed that he simply didn’t have time for frivolous gestures such as walking. There was a universe to convert, and he didn’t have time for delays.
Which meant such a meeting with the other Planner was obviously something required for efficiency’s sake. She was slowing them down, forcing him to take drastic measures to keep her in line with the plan.
"Ah, yes. Lady Clever. Or do you prefer a different name?" He spoke in a tone that implied he obviously didn’t care what she wanted to be called.
She narrowed her eyes, arms crossing in front of her. Really, she was walking in proud that she was interrupting his data processing, but now she was a bit irritated by his tone. "Miss Clever, thank you very much."
She continued walking over, moving to perch herself on the table and lean closer to him. Now what could her fellow Planner want from her? Clearly this wasn't just a social visit. He was going through data, and she really just wanted to get back to breaking any of their Cybermen that didn't meet her (and what she thought to be his) expectations. Though she did get giddy whenever some would upgrade seconds before she tore them apart.
"You wanted to see me, darling?" she said, her voice taking on a sing-song tone. "Or can I go back to working on our dear Cybermen? So many have managed to upgrade themselves before they could be. . . Decommissioned."

When taking over the mind of a human it was easy to delete them. Clara had proved to be a difficult case, but Miss Clever won the chess match in the end, took control of the girl's mind and body.
She would never admit to her fellow Cyberplanner that she felt like the girl was still inside in a coma like state. You can never delete a human's heart, after all.
"Oh, Clever!"
Mister Clever had been talking about checking her upgrades, something about them not functioning. She just chose to not be logical, really, it wasn't that she was malfunctioning. She enjoyed breaking things.
"You wanted to see me?"
The World was Waking || idlegossipandarchaeology
Clearly she was getting nowhere with this girl. “Seeing as I’m in the generous mood, allow me to impart some knowledge on you, never underestimate your opponent dear.” River drawled in reply, nails tapping the edge of the cup once more in idleness.
She stilled briefly, a series of strange, metallic clicks reaching her ears. Coincidence surely?
{Never ignore a coincidence.}
"Yes, I rather think I should take a look for myself." Her reply somewhat faraway the archaeologist rose quickly to her feet, abandoning her half finished cup.
[Never underestimate your opponent.]
There was a smirk on her face now, one that was wide and almost gleeful. To River, she might simply be smirking about the fact that she was getting her to see that there was no Cyberman activity to worry about. Of course, this was not true at all.
Click. Click.
Miss Clever stood a moment after River did, still smirking. The so-called knowledge the woman gave her was not knowledge at all. Her opponent was standing right before her, speaking with her and sharing a cup of tea and some false information. She would ensure when they were at the location, the Doctor's wife wouldn't be able to escape and would have no choice but to face a conversion. Or worse. She hadn't decided yet.
"This way then." She motioned for River to follow her, already starting to walk in the direction of one of many hideaways she had.
this. this is the face of a woman who will destroy everything you love
and enjoy destroying it
[There’s an almighty C L A N G as the scalpel hits the dish. Ushas turns slowly to face the woman,]
"Cyber technology. Fascinating."
[She begins to stroll around the stranger.]
[Miss Clever's smirk just grows as the other woman strolls around her. She lifts a hand to her own face, wiping away the filter that hides her own cybernetics.]
"Even more when you use it on a human. Especially if you adjust the technology just a bit to give them a proper upgrade."
[Now, to just see how this woman reacts.]
impossibleupgrade
"Yes, what is it?"
[She can sense the presence of someone beside her, ignoring them as she makes another well practised cut.]
[She just arches an eyebrow, watching her. Not human, she could just tell. Readings told her she was one of the Doctor's kind.]
[Oh. That was wonderful.]
"Ever thought of adding a bit of Cyber tech to them? I find it makes them. . .
Better in the long run."
"I could call myself.. Miss Clever."
She wants to break things guys, SOMEONE STOP HER.
