Make new friends every day!
Two years ago I joined the ranks of the hundreds of thousands of women who every day who join a network marketing or direct selling company because they finally hear the right message from the right person. This is mainly because the person comes from their heart and helps us to open our eyes and ears to simply learn of the amazing value and opportunity for growth, friends and time freedom that exists within this unique and often badly maligned space called "MLM."
I recently spoke with a women who was on my prospect list and is now just joining this industry for the first time. And yes I am kicking myself that I didn't reach out to her when I had the opportunity months ago- or at least be more persistent and get my chance to share what I know with her. But I wish her well and said so just last week as I am proud of this industry and know that she made a great decision for herself.
When utilized in the right way, the gift of networking  that women fall into very naturally can make many who would otherwise struggle in the regular corporate settings become superstars and lead lives of true  joy, and never once questioning their decision to leap into the fray as it were.
Yes the dreaded Pyramid scheme that you hear about. It's actually an inverted pyramid for those who look closely. We build teams who build teams and everyone is incentivized to lift people up- not keep them down or compete with them. It is a win/win game and highly rewarding for all who make a comittment to learn from the mentors who share everything they know with us.
My belief is that this is the most ethical form of business I know. It builds leadership skills, improves relationships and communications, adds more freedom and choices to their  lifestyle and often improves attitude and health for those who are "All In." All you need do is invest in the great learnings and mentoring that is offered for free and like the franchise model follow the system that has already worked for those who have  been successful in your vehicle.
So why do so many run for the hills when they even think about this model of business? Quite honestly it is because they just don't understand what this business is, or how it operates. Â They are virtually ignorant. I often hear people say things like- "Those things never work!" I am here to say those people are wrong. As blunt as it sounds, they really are! Is every realtor or business owner, or restaurant proprietor successful? Absolutely not. Yet we don't go around saying real estate businessed or restaurant businesses don't work now do we?
The biggest problem we have in network marketing is that it costs far too little for us to get in. Hence we treat it like a hobby and not a business that can potentially bring us a significant income. Would you open a restaurant or retail store and say "hey I think I won't bother opening the doors today!" Of course not. You invested hundreds of thousands or more in that business so you show up every day, open those doors on time and stay till closing - letting people know you are ready and willing to serve them.
In our industry, it's very easy to not show up when you've only invested a few hundred to a thousand dollars in some of your company's samples. You know you can put it off for another day and it won't have you go bankrupt. Hence we treat it like a part time hobby and nothing happens. Then we tell people this doesn't work.
For those who have a heart and want to help others, enjoy learning and growing, have a bit of drive to stick with something long enough to see the return, they will have a great time. Their life will be overflowing with hundreds if not thousands of friends. They will get to travel and take vacations where, when and with whom they want and earn as much as they desire based on their efforts, not their education, their connections or their luck.
When you look at all businesses in terms of the pyramid structure they are all the same. The CEO earns more money than the bottom rung labourers and in that typical scenario the guys at the bottom can never out-earn the CEO. In our model the opposite is true. I could find someone to work in my team who has more influence, skills, network and drive and yield a very healthy income from being the one who introduced them. What's even better than that is I don't even have to train them all that much as these companies in general are famous for having tremendous online trainings, videos, events, conferences and more! So all I have to do is show them where and when to "plug in!"
So if you're still skeptical or wary about this model of doing business I would be happy to take my Pyramid over yours any day. I'd also be more than delighted to show you the endless stream of benefits that lay in wait for you if you take the time to really explore this well.
My final comment is for those of you who love people and enjoy being in the company of  caring, inspired, courageous, forward thinking, "out of the box" thinkers. People who are willing to pursue their dreams and take more than the crumbs off the banquet table of life. For you- I predict you will love this industry, and by the way  you will make thousands of new friends in the process!
