Barbegazi

The Barbegazi is most often a short creature, commonly described as a form of dwarf. Usually they are winter beasts and resemble little old men. They commonly have long beards and large feet. Found on mountains, they are commonly depicted skiing with their large feet. They live in caves and are not seen until the snowy times of year, one assumes they might be hibernating during this time. Sometimes they protect humans by warning them of the dangers in the snow.
