Never Get a Second Chance at a First Impression
Logan would never get used to Wade using his name. Right now it felt like it was a voice over, not even really Wade speaking. He almost blurted out that he would live. But would Wade really last in here. It was so much hassle keeping him here and yet he had murdered his teammates. Logan was a little more than torn.
"Maybe I will just fuck off then."
"Good..." Wade let go of the sink and fell onto the cot, his legs utterly giving out. He put his head in his hands with a heavy groan. "Take your time coming back. Seriously."
Never Get a Second Chance at a First Impression
"Not a chance are you getting me in there again. You had your fun. Now if you want me to bother moving you /before/ you die, then you will put the supplies back."
Wade felt a drip of cold sweat fall down the back of his neck. "Logan, I can't move. Would you just fuck off and come back when I'm dead? Seriously, Lo-- Wolverine. Just fuck. Off." He felt his grip weaken on the sink. He couldn't possibly keep upright for much longer.
Never Get a Second Chance at a First Impression
"Put the supplies back in the drawer, Wade."
Logan had decided he wasn’t taking anymore of this. It was clear that Wade wasn’t going to help him. Part of him was hoping that Wade would keel over so he wouldn’t have to listen to the merc’s voice when he was leaving.
Wade didn't let go of the sink. He was not fainting in front of Wolverine. "Why don't you come in here and get them...?" He tried to make his voice sound stronger than he felt.
Never Get a Second Chance at a First Impression
"Too late. You’re just gonna have to work with what you have." Logan stood there, eyes fixed on Wade’s every move. There was no way he was going to risk a breakout now. Once he gets out of there Wade will be good as new without much thought.
Wade shot Logan a glare and pulled himself to his feet, walking slowly to the cracked mirror above the sink. He took a breath before pinching each of the wounds closed, sewing them haphazardly. He bandaged his shoulder tightly, his knuckles white on the sink as a wave of nausea took over. "Shit..."
Never Get a Second Chance at a First Impression
Wade needed a kicked up the arse as far as Logan was concerned. He didn’t want to move Wade as long as possible though so all he could do was comply. Logan left the cell block and returned with what the merc wanted. He put them in the drawer. “You have ten minutes”
He took the bandages out of the drawer, unrolling them slowly. "I need antiseptic too, Logan." He was starting to see double from the blood loss. "Shit..." He held his shoulder tight, putting pressure on the wound.
Never Get a Second Chance at a First Impression
Logan shook his head. “So like everything else you deserved it? I was going to have a word with Warren but I think you probably deserve anything you have got.”
"I gave him what--" he wanted and needed. He wanted to scream it from the rooftops, that what he had done had been a good thing. Warren had gotten what he'd needed from him. "Yeah, Logan, whatever. If you're gonna leave me in here, I'm gonna need bandages, needle and thread."
Never Get a Second Chance at a First Impression
Logan came back in after watching what had happened between Wade and Warren. It had seemed like Wade hadn’t even provoked the man. “Did you make him attack you? Did you say anything to make him attack?”
Wade smirked up at him. "Made him Hulk out and everything. I'm good at what I do. Couple of well chosen words about Psylocke. A few about my girl... It was too easy, what can I say?"
Never Get a Second Chance at a First Impression
"What?" Logan was more in a state of shock than anything else. His rage was forgotten and he left the cell without another word, heading to check the videotapes in the main hub.
Wade tried to catch the door before the lock caught, but was unsuccessful. His injured leg gave out beneath him and he slid down the wall, trying to breathe through the pain of his leg and shoulder. At least this way he would probably bleed out sooner rather than die of septicaemia later.
Never Get a Second Chance at a First Impression
Logan bent low and swept a kick towards Wade’s legs. It was only then when he looked at the other trying to regain balance that he noticed the wound Wade had got from Angel. He tilted his head. “You’re hurt. But not by me?”
Wade put his hand on the wall. "Don't start mothering me, Logan. If you checked the cameras every once in a while you'd know Warren had been here. Got a little revenge and left. No big."
Never Get a Second Chance at a First Impression
Logan swung his arm around. His claws snickting out as his arms moved. He could feel them sinking into the flesh of Wade’s shoulder. “You still ain’t no match for me.”
Wade sucked in a breath at the feel of the claws move inside his shoulder. The glare he shot at Logan could kill a man at fifty paces, healing factor or no healing factor. "If you need me half crippled with cancer so you can beat me, then that ain't much of a fight, Wolverine." He looked down at the blood. With the kind of care he was getting in here, this wound could easily kill him. Funny how little he cared about that fact.
Never Get a Second Chance at a First Impression
"Not even a little bit. You are getting predictable. Let’s see if your fighting follows suit." Logan got into his own fighting stance. This was going to be an easy fight and he didn’t even care that he was giving Wade what he wanted. He pushed forward on his feet and sent a punch straight for the merc’s head.
Wade was ready for the punch. He grabbed Logan's arm and threw him into the sink behind him changing their positions. A kick to the small of Logan's back pushed him into the sink even harder. "I think I'm pretty up to standard. Fought in the Hospice with cancer, don't forget."
Never Get a Second Chance at a First Impression
That was is. Logan couldn’t hold himself back anymore. Part of him knew he shouldn’t have come at all but it was too late to let logic take over. He opened the cell door and slammed it closed once he was inside with the merc. “You gonna be so brave now, bub?”
Wade backed up, slipping into an easy fighting stance. "Would you be surprised if I said this was exactly what I wanted?" He still had that beer bottle saved from their first meeting in the cells. Under his pillow. Only two feet away.
Never Get a Second Chance at a First Impression
Logan hit the glass again, this time with a lot more force. His voice went low and more like a growl. “You know nothing, Wade, absolutely nothing. I never knew about Daken until he turned up ready to kill me. I would never give up on my own.”
"That's your own fault for not putting something on the end of it, ain't it?" Wade's voice got louder, the smirk all the more pronounced. "The fact you hate him for trying to kill you, you, a dude who is the most fuck off famous mutant in the world for not being able to die... THAT right there. THAT means you've given up on him."
