Have you seen any South American inspiration/influenced fantasy material?
Sadly no, but that would be something I 100% want to see.

Just finished some fun projects and learned a lot doing them. Can't wait to apply what I've learned to other things. I think the pouch is the best thing I've ever made. I'll show more after I've rested.
Super proud of my skill growth here!
Hey all, we're a house full of disabled queer folk who are unable to work as a result of… River Styx needs your support for Help Disabled Trans Folks Survive
Hey folks! A follower on insta currently has a gofundme going that could use some attention and help! Please share and, if you can swing it, donate! Mutual aid is the name of the game, and when we help each other, we all get through!
It’s been a slow end of the year, so I wanted to offer some of my older work on a discount. Each of these represent first try at practicing new techniques and items. If interested shoot me a dm, they will go on a first come first serve basis.

So. I’ve been running dnd games for a few years now, and I finally decided to release some homebrew content! Presenting the Path of the Unquiet Host! A spooky barbarian subclass where your rage can call the spirits of fallen warriors to fight by your side. Art is by the amazing Annathenewt!
Morning reminder that I’ve put out a fun new subclass for 5e!
A little something I've been working on.
Really happy to share this with you all! This is the first time you all get to see me go from not knowing how to do something at all, to showing you all how to do it, so you really get a sense of how swiftly you can pick up a skill you’ve never had!
If you like this video consider supporting my work so that I can keep making more. I’m actually really enjoying this sort of thing and would love to do more and even try other types of video.
I’ve got a new video coming out tomorrow! Buuuut, if you want to see it a little early, I’ve posted it already as an unlisted video on my patreon. It’s available to everyone who supports so if you need that fix now consider supporting and checking it out!
Knight Duties by La Draws
Angrboða in God of War: Ragnarök (2022)
New video up on the YouTube channel! I talk about the head knife, the basic cutting workhorse of leatherworking. If you like it, please consider checking out my shop or supporting on Patreon.
Feeling more comfortable with making videos, and I’m looking forward to making some longer tutorials! I’ll also be making more videos on tools and techniques so look out for those!
Thank you!
I wanted to say a big thank you to everyone for helping to boost my promo post and getting me past 100 subscribers on YouTube! That means a lot that people love my content so much! You’ve given me a lot of energy to dive back into it tomorrow! For now though, enjoy your labor day, and remember all the work and struggle that workers have done for us both today and in the past to gain us the workers rights that we have!
Also! I’ve made a linktree! I’m hoping it will make sharing my socials a bit easier. It even has a little donation section so if you want to give your girl a quick little boost don’t be shy ;). For real though, pretty much everything goes back into the shop so every donation or bit of support lets me do that much more!
For now though. I’m off to make a cake!
Tough Times for a Tough Girl: How to help a girl keep kicking ass and making cool stuff!!!
So, the last several months have been pretty good in terms of my skills. They have been growing a lot! I’ve been getting better at making armor, buckles, and cases. I’ve learned about gilding, hardening leather, thread and lace making. I’ve even started learning about making videos, something I’m excited to continue doing.
This has honestly been wonderful. There are a few trans women who do what I do, a few POC too. As far as I know I’m the only trans POC woman doing this. The outpouring of support for that fact has been a major source of emotional fuel as a craftswoman this year.
That said, as a business women, things haven’t been the hottest. Sales have been down by a lot, growth on my patreon has been stalled for months. I know part of it has been the fact I’ve had to focus a lot on filling back orders that have been waiting since things blew up last summer (The end is actually in sight on those, thank goodness!). I’ve not been able to focus to much on updating shop items or adding big new things. Another part of it has been covid for sure, making things tough for everyone.
I really want this to be the thing I do for the rest of my life, and it will be easier to do if it’s my actual job and not just a hobby I do when I manage to find time. I’ve made it this far thanks to all of you, and so it’s to all of you I’m coming now. I’ve got some requests, some questions, and some things to look forward to that I’d like to lay before you.
So, you wana help a girl out…?
Just about the easiest thing to do is engage with my social media. Generally speaking, algorithms seem to like engagement. The more engagement I get, the more attention I can get. I’ve got a presence on several platforms that I’ve been trying to put out content for this last year. Other than here on Tumbler you can also find me on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook. I’ve also recently started up a YouTube channel!
I’m really excited about this one and hope that it can be a fun new way for me to introduce you all to my work. If you want to help me out, give my videos a watch, like them, and subscribe to the channel! I’d love to hit 100 subscribers as low milestone, and I’m trying to put something new every week. If you like these video’s and want to see more of them, and faster, I have a Patreon! Supporting me there is the best way to make more and more interesting videos and projects happen. Even if you can only support with $1 for one month, that would mean the world to me, it all adds up. I’m currently trying to hit our $300 goal, which will allow me to put out 2 tutorial video’s a month! We’re currently $188/300. Current rewards are your name in the credits, but I’m working out early access and trying to find other ways to reward support.
Now, if you REALLY like my work, like… you just want to have it, and touch it, maybe wear it around a little and show it off so people know you’re a cool adventurer ready to take on anything! You can just do that! I’ve got a shop over on Etsy! I’ve got lots of high quality stuff over there, and as I finish up my recent backlog, it’s only going to get better. In the meanwhile, if you’re interested in something that will arrive relatively fast, and won’t break the bank, I offer troll crosses to protect you against evil magics, and cuffs to protect your wrists against evil cuts (They might even come in metal soon…)!
All of these are ways you could help me push forward, get more eyes on my work, and help me get to a place where I can make ends meet. Things like YouTube monetization are far off, but still a goal, and every little bit helps.
Can a Girl Interest You In…?
So, I’ve also had some ideas that I wanted to run by everyone. I’d really like to be more engaged with everyone. I’ve really liked talking with people in the comments and all, but tumblr is… not the best for that. So I’m curious if people would be interested in other things. I’ve talked about doing crafting streams, and those might be a while off, but, would people be interested in chill streams? I like to wind down with medieval and fantasy games at the end of the day, and I’m curious if people would be interested in seeing that? Warning! I’m not a pro gamer lol, I’m pretty bad at games. But I figured it could be fun to chill for few hours with folk. Maybe get a discord going too? Does that sound cool?
I’m also curious if people would be interested in things like merch? I know some people sell shirts so maybe that’s something people would like?
Let me know about this stuff! I’m interested, but it also doesn’t make sense to go for stuff like this if others aren’t interested.
Keep Your Eyes Peeled!!!
That said, there are certainly some things I know are coming up! You already know I’m working on some tutorials! Fingerloop braiding and brass aglets are going to feature in the next week or two. And I might do a video on forging a troll cross after that.
I’m also wanting to return to the D&D simple weapons list. I’m still not skilled enough to make a knife… unfortunately but I think I have what it takes to make a javelin! It’s relatively simple forge work, for a weapon not meant to be anything to fancy. A good place to dip my toes in!
In the shop you can start looking forward to updated designs for things like the leather vambraces (buckled and laced), cuffs, bucklers, and belt pouches. Metal armor is coming in the next month or so, and I hope to start making some new pendants beyond the troll cross.
I’m also getting some ideas to revive adventure theory in video form! That one could be a few months out. But I’d like to maybe look at some concepts from D&D and see how they match up to real life (maybe testing torches or something?).
Lots to do, and lots to think about. I really wana make this work, but I can’t do it alone. Even if all you do is reblog this, and give me some likes and follows on my other platforms, it’s still a help, and I’ll do my best to make it worth while.
Please spread this around if you can!
I’ve finally done it! My first tutorial is up on youtube. I’m super excited to do more of these in the days to come.
Wanted to share my first video tutorial again for any who missed it. I’m still feeling good about this and I’m excited to do more in the future.
If you liked this and want to see more, go support me on patreon! The support there really helps and lets me do more stuff like this. And ya girl really wants to do more of this!
I did a thing for the first time and I’m super happy about it!
Do you like seeing what I do? Ever wanted to see it in motion? Well here's your chance!! It was real fun making this video for arda wigs summer seminar.
It’s been a bit of a slow month since I’ve had some big projects to focus on, so I wanted to remind people that I’ve still got some prototypes that are on offer. Selling these would really help me hit the ground running in August, so if you like my work consider adding one of these to your collection.

Archers Vambrace - $50 usd + shipping
You might also consider following my patreon, I’m going to be getting into more video soon so if you want to help support that, backing for a dollar is really helpful.
Happy Pride to everyone!
Now more than ever, as there are people trying to drive a wedge between us, we must stay strong together and support each other as much as we can. All our LGBTQIA+ siblings deserve love, safety and the same rights.
Wow! This is BEAUTIFUL!
Oh this is lovely…
Hi! It’s been an amazing year and once more it’s Pride month! A lot of you started following me after my blackout day post last year. You helped to turn what I expected to be a disappointing year into one of the most amazing ones of my life! I’ve had the chance to learn and grow so much thanks to that, and hopefully this year we can learn and grow even more!
As some of you might now, I’m a black trans woman, I came out this past trans day of visibility. It’s a little scary, considering my field of interest is medieval reproductions and realistic fantasy crafts. But my experience so far has been super positive. I’ve discovered a lot of new people like me who are doing amazing crafts work with metal and leather. I’m hoping to be able to match up to them soon!
So, I’m a black trans lesbian who is strongly anti fascest. Very cool, I know. But not easy! I’m trying to do this like no one else out there. I want to make the things I do my livelihood, to be able to focus full time on my craft without having to take side work or worry about covering living expenses. That means I’ll need help. How, you ask? Well, the easiest way is to follow my social media such as here on tumblr, or on Instagram and Twitter. I go by warclad everywhere, so I’m pretty easy to find.
If you like my work and want to own some, you can check out my Etsy Shop, or DM me on any of my social media for custom orders. I’ve currently got a bit of a backlog, but I’ve been working through it, and will get to everyone.
I’ve also got a Patreon which will soon be the best place to catch early releases for my video content! I’ve been talking about wanting to do video for a while, and it’s finally happening! I’ll be crediting all my backers on patreon at the end of every video, and posting them a week before public release. So look out for new and reworked backer tiers in the coming week or so! Even pledging a dollar builds up with enough people, and it’s thanks to backers that I’m able to try new things that help me to improve. The more backers, the more cool stuff I can try.
Thank you all so much for the support and attention. I’ve been so happy this past year, and I hope that’s shown. Don’t forget that the best defense against the hardships of the world is our bonds with each other. The love you have all shared with me, please share with each other as well, and again, happy pride!
Super excited to see what the next year holds. Gotta hone my skills and myself!!!
