Reject the mainstream machine of anti-thought.
Call a boy a gentleman and watch his shoulders straighten. Call a girl a lady and watch her spirit turn graceful. Humanity was brought into existence by God speaking words into the void of the universe. We tend to become what we are called.

This pic fills me with such happiness. A little Austrian boy receiving new shoes. #thelittlethings
Love is when a man wipes your tears and loves you even after you beat him, spit on him, nailed him to a cross and left him there to die.
Great way to start the day. Who is that guy with the spoken word though?

Treasure of my heart and of my soul. In my weakness you are merciful. Redeemer of my past and present wrongs. Holder of my future my days to come.
... it is in this disobeying ourselves, wherein the hardness of obeying God consists.
Herman Melville - Moby Dick
To know that Jesus is pleased with us should radically transform how we view our hardships.

It's today!! I'm slightly bricking it. Send a prayer up for me haha. Huge thank you to all those who have supported me whether by donating or simply taking an interest in what I'm doing. You've shown me such overwhelming love and generosity. If you've been meaning to donate then you can still do so here: https://www.justgiving.com/NavigatorEthiopiamissiontrip/ Hopefully there'll be some video footage of the event so do watch out for that. Or simply come down and spectate. Coach park at the O2, from 2pm.
Interesting Thoughts From My Mother
It was very interesting to hear my Nigerian mother's perspective/rant on what happened in Woolwich on Weds 22/05/13, where two Nigerian Muslim men killed a British soldier in Woolwich, Southeast London, in broad daylight. It's amazing how people identify with the different people affected by incidents like this. My mother felt sorry for the soldier and his family. But she also kept saying she felt sorry for the mothers of the boys who committed the crime. That is what I found particularly interesting. I can only imagine that this comes from being a Nigerian parent herself and also coming from a culture that believes that children behaviours reflect on the parents. According to my dear mother, sending wayward Nigerian kids to Nigeria and not sending any money apart from school fees will sort them out. I told her I wasn't convinced. This incident was also talked about in youth group today as well. It's been a very thought provoking day, to say the least.
