Singer songwriter Zoey Brook Jackson is set to release her debut single Siren on the 27th of Septembe

Siren is an up-tempo modern day reworking of an old folk tale. Believe it or not the track sits somewhere between ‘Florence and the Machine’ and ‘The Ghostface Killer’. The mood is darkly melodic with a funky and eccentric twist. The verses contain a fragile, pensive feel as brass fares sound out the imminent and beautiful demise of the songs male protagonist. Layers of vocals and intricate harmonies collide, the depth of sound resemble waves crashing over your ears. The musical drama remains fast-paced and enticing especially when the huge chorus kicks in.Produced by Savvy (aka Asaviour), who also lends his vocal talents in the form of a cameo depicting the plight of every foolish man entranced by a femme fatale.

The new single ‘Siren’ looks set to establish Zoey Brook Jackson as one of the UK’s great up and coming vocal talents.

It’s time to get “Serious” about not taking everything so seriously. That’s the theme of “Serious,” the latest offering from E-Reign. E-Reign is a New York-based a hip-hop artist whom critics are hailing as, “A star in the making.” The single is an introspective, mid-tempo composition with meaning, message, and mantra. It is also a prime example of what sets E-Reign miles apart from the typical hip-hop artist. Most hip-hop artists compete among each other; however, E-Reign competes against himself. “I’m only as good as my last release,” he explains. While “Serious” is a song about not taking everything too seriously, E-Reign is nose-to-the-grindstone about his artistry. He offers, “You always win when you push harder and take on your last best effort.” This recipe for success is what has sharpened his artistic skills as he continues to rise to the top of the hip-hop scene in New York City. “Serious” contains E-Reign’s typically well-crafted lyrical lines, hooky riffs, and top-notch instrumentation. The real action in this tune is not in “beats-per-minute,” but rather “beats-per- mantra.” E-Reign displays his influence from Tupac and seems to possess Shakur’s uncanny ability to add magic to his message. “Serious” is akin to Shakur’s Conquering All Obstacles – with a creative goal not to gloat, but to better the world through self-examination.
