Food. We all need it! 

I have to admit that I’m a big fan of American food culture. We follow somewhat like 80 to 90% vegetarian food diet at home. But on US travels, well lets just put it like this. Meat over there is pretty damn delicious. 

Staring picture is of the best Huevos Rancheros I’ve ever had. Quite surprisingly we found this place from New York. By accident when we needed to grab some breakfast with guys from Standard and Strange.  

Kansas City... Well the bbq was so good that we did not manage to snap a photo before it was all gone.

Next post will have some sceneries and clothing.

Renting a car for coast to coast trip.

If you know me, then you know that I love anything with engine and more than 1 wheel.

Choosing the right car to drive coast to coast is not easy. Naturally I would gravitate towards pick up truck or prober 4 x 4. But when you travel with big and heavy collection bags, there is couple things you must think of. First is how high you need to be lifting the bags. How often do you need to load and unload the car. But to me the most important this is that you need to be able to leave the bags in so that they are not visible at all. So basically it comes down to trunk size.

Sure I unload the car every night. Come on. Traveling with full sample collection. No way I can have that stolen. But when you stop for lunch, breakfast or for a hike even. You wanna feel safe parking the car and leaving collection and valuables in the trunk.

This time my choice of transportation was Chrysler 300S that had just the right size of trunk to hold the collection and most of our personal still in so that it was not visible for the eye. Plus it had lot of leg room and comfortable seats. Thing that is an must is satellite radio. Great bonus with this one was that it was brand   new and fast.

PS. I liked Ohio. I think I wanna go back and spend some more time there.

Finally found time to share some shots from our last sales trip in States.  This time we started from New York and ended up in LA. 

I’ve already posted pictures of meetings on Instagram. So lets now focus more on road trip, places and food. But I wanted to start with few pics of the loft we where renting as our showroom. Sorry for not actually showing the room where we had the collection. But I do not yet wanna share pictures of our SS19 collection. Lets rather get back to SS19 collection early next year. 

Loft was wicked and we loved showing the collection from there. As an ex buyer I understand that having a nice surrounding is important. Come on. buying the right pieces for your store is the key to successful season. Right?

Been years since I last visited Amboy, so we needed to do that as well. Located just of the Route 66, this place just stops you. So much potential to make it into something funky.

FW18 season highlight for me personally was 2nd hand revival, Eagle Rock. 2nd Hand Revival is curated by multi talented Mike Hodis and his team. It’s a gathering of well made brands, vintage dealers, vintage collectors, hot rod & motorcycle builders and people interested of those. 

Life music by great artist (personal favourite performance was by Hirai Da)I, good food, coffee and beer. Just a really nice hangout place for couple days. We many of our US customers there during the 2 days we where there. Thanks for showing up General Quarters, Franklin and Poe, Blue Owl, Standard and Strange and also The Shop Vancouver from Canada.

This was the 2nd time Mike put this event together. We hope that there will be many more to come and that Mike will still have us there. So much fun!
