Type Poster Series.
I chose the font Peignot because of its quirkiness, I like that its from paris and was made in the 1930's. I wanted the romance of paris and the age and vintage style of the 30's to come through in my design while also being true to my own style of designing.
Poster One- One colour. The letter circle was intended to be an eye-catcher. To pull you into the poster. I used blue because I thought black was not strong enough, I wanted something different something that stood out. The over all style of the poster is classy and classic, I like the layout of different elements.
This poster is where I found my grid, There is so many series for the first poster because most of them are just experimenting and trying to find a grid and a style for my poster.
Poster Two-Two colour. I chose a rose to represent love. To me this font is paris, it has style, it has romance and is vintage. The central line that mirrors the main image reinforces the grid, the grid I have used throughout is two vertical columns. The roses are bright red because the contrast was effective and each poster needs to have a wow factor.
The background colour choice relates to the colours in the french flag, White, blue and red.
Poster Three-CMYK. When I lower the resolution to put the image onto my online workbook the colours and images change. So the image above shows the correct colorings. This poster is about identity. As the different pictures collaged together make a face, all the different characteristics make someone.Instead of using white as the background colour to refer to the french flag, I have used a vintage overlay to relate to the 30's style. Me as a designer, I am not quite sure what I am as a designer, I am many things, I am a photographer, illustrator, I am a graphic designer, so for now I will show through this poster that Im a bit of everything.
