I cling to this identity where I like to think that I don't give up or give in and keep trying because we are condemned to hope and if we give up it would mean "they" won and we can't afford for things to deteriorate more but sometimes I notice that things are objectively getting so unbearably worse for people, reaching massive scales of genocide and war and their justifications here, and notice how the helplessness and confusion and shame and pressure to keep my income are seeping so deeply into my heart that all I can get myself to do is to work ungodly hours and take care of my own wellbeing and that of the three or four people closest to me. And this has been going on for waaaaay too long now. Completely unable to reach out to anyone or any group beyond that no matter how close or deeply involved we used to be. Sadly this includes my birth family and friends sometimes. I thought my injury would help me change that but it just gave me more things to deal with. It has to change dammit

Palestinian Prisoners' Society:
New information indicates that "israeli" authorities are escalating efforts to liquidate Dr. Hossam Abu Safiya within the prison system. Detained without charges under the "unlawful combatant" law, Dr. Abu Safiya has been subjected to systematic torture and harsh conditions, including a recent transfer to the "Rakifet" section, a facility known for extreme abuse, starvation, and medical neglect. The Society warned that this targeting of medical personnel constitutes a direct threat to his life and urged international bodies, including the UN and the Red Cross, to move beyond condemnation toward immediate, active protection and securing his release.
As of 04/07/2026, there are approximately 9,400 Palestinians in "israeli" prisons, including 1,320 classified as "unlawful combatants" held without trial. The Society emphasized that "israel" is employing a systematic policy of physical and psychological destruction against prisoners; over 100 detainees have been killed since the start of the current conflict, while the locations and conditions of hundreds of others from Gaza remain concealed.
