This is first and foremost a Jam blog. I suppose it’s an ✨unethical✨ jam blog, because you cannot consume your way into goodness and it’s silly to believe you can. Now onto the tarot stuff. Here’s a brief history:

First tarot was a card game, designed to keep people entertained at lavish parties. As it grew in popularity, people began collecting the beautiful cards as art objects. Then, tarot was adopted by occult practitioners as a means of divination. This was an easy shift, seeing as many of the cards already had symbolic meanings assigned to them.

You can see how some people turn to tarot for reflection, and others use it for entertainment or even aesthetic purposes. It’s all what you make of it, and I do hope you enjoy your stay on this blog. Please keep in mind tarot is categorized as a form of divination, or scrying, and is just a glimpse of what may come to pass. Nothing is set in stone, as fate is ever changing.

Any cards I draw and meanings I provide here should be taken as entertainment.

To ask a question:

It’s fine to submit general tea or enthusiasm about Jam and I enjoy seeing it. Just know if there’s not a question in there I cannot do a reading. 

Make sure your questions are respectfully worded. This means be kind and make sure you are avoiding disparaging language when asking about people. I'll delete asks that get mean.

Strong questions can be phrased using words like how, what, and why. Know that timelines can impact the answer to a question, which is why some readers will pull for the same question after some time has passed. It's okay to ask again if it's been a while. I cannot predict for things like “when will x event happen”. Only someone on set would know that. Besides, as we have seen, dates change. 

If you ask me a question that can be answered with yes or no, or an either/or answer, I may answer with a one card spread to try and get a more specific answer for you.

Why is Jacob brother zoning Sam during pride month the homophobia of it all (I don’t know how to ask this or what to ask)

okay, I’m going to rephrase your question a bit:

what message is Jacob trying to send with his PR choices during pride month?

Fuck shit man I don’t feel like typing this out because this is one of the most fucked up pulls I’ve had for a while. I’ll do it though.

Judgement- jumped from deck. Awakening, rebirth, reckoning religious imagery, whatever, yep, he’s reinventing his image because he’s decided this is a good thing to do. Nothing mysterious here.

How does it go: Tower Reversed, Ten of Swords Reversed, World Reversed. Tower reversed is about putting off an inevitable catastrophe. Ten of Swords is about trying to rebuild after rock bottom. The world, reversed, is about lacking the ability to complete a cycle meaningfully. So if you draw the Ten of Swords reversed with the World Reversed and The Tower reversed flanking it, you’ve trapped yourself in a cycle where you can never rebuild after a catastrophic event because you’re never allowing yourself to heal the way you need to heal. A broken bone can never set if you don’t set it. If you’re not comfortable enduring the pain of the tower, you can’t begin the healing process that the ten of swords reversed and potentially the world upright would bring.

Why Now: Justice reversed and death reversed. Idk this just means it’s happened before, this is more “trapped in a cycle” speak. Justice reversed is avoiding some sort of accountability you’d need to move on. Death reversed is an incomplete cycle in this context, much like the world reversed (though of course it has many more meanings).

I don’t think this clarified anything for you. Editing to add, the why now part felt bewildering to me because I’m not sure what it means by this is a cycle but I guess maybe it makes sense. I’ll have to sit with it.

I have an unusual question. But how does Jacob feel about Assad? I’ve noticed coldness between them several times, and it’s specifically coming from Jacob’s side. Maybe I’m just imagining things.

I ended up just doing a relationship reading for this because I’ve noticed this too. People brushed it off and that is their right, and the thing is I’m not saying either of them are being unprofessional. But Sam and Assad have a much warmer relationship so it just struck me as really noticeable.

How does JA feel about AZ: Two of Swords. He feels like they’re not very good at communicating with each other. Maybe he sees AZ as more of a colleague but less of a friend than his other cast mates. This card can symbolize that two people have reached an impasse on an issue or a topic and are having trouble deciding how to move forward. (This card shows up for JA a lot as a Gemini, which is interesting).

How does AZ feel about JA: Wheel of Fortune reversed. When upright, you feel like luck is going your way and you’re on top of the world. Reversed, you feel like you’ve fallen on a string of bad luck or into a rut. AZ may have found unexpected challenges or friction in communication during this relationship. It seems they had a hard time communicating, once again.

How’s the Relationship over all: Ace of Swords Reversed. Upright, this card signifies clear and concise communication and important messages. This card is reversed. It seems miscommunication is a common theme between them.

Honest readings don’t tell people what they want to hear. They share what has come to pass, and what may come to pass if things continue on their current trajectory. I am sorry these were disappointing to you, but I am not interested in lying about what I’ve found. I’m also not going to lie, I don’t like when people come at me with feed back like this because there are readers who will tell you whatever you want to hear. I’m just not one of them.

Hopefully they will both reach a place of understanding. Despite the issues. There still seems to be a lot of love. Just sadness too. Just watching them, you can still see that “pull” between them.

According to your readings, it seems like Jacob and Sam need to meet each other halfway. But that’s easier said than done. Seems like they both want to. But it may be hard to start that process. Especially for Jacob (legally). What do you think?

Yeah, that’s accurate. A relationship is about compromise in a lot of ways. That’s not a sad thing- it can be beautiful. It’s about growing together and loving someone enough to let them shape you for the better. I don’t want to comment about how hard it is, because I’ve never had to divorce anyone before and I don’t intend to. Even if I weren’t going to do that, I wouldn’t be adding a third. But I agree there’s a lot of moving parts, and it’s just more complicated than “meet soulmate, ask them out”. But again, I think a relationship is about compromise, and it kind of feels like neither of them are willing to give. And I get why it’s scary. But if you never move, you’ll never be able to get to that middle ground.

HP was such a weird one! There's no way she could have known any of this. If she really was in a position to there's no way she would be sharing it, but I still find her story way more compelling than any of the other lying anons. Maybe she should compile it all for AO3, lol!

What baffles me was the dates. She got 2/2 almost on the nose, and some other information I can’t share here. Idk, should she be sharing it? Maybe not. But should and would and did are different things and people act in ways we don’t expect all the time.

High Priestess (jam user) special feature

Some of these are not clipped very well because they were for my personal timeline and I never thought they’d become archival. It’s also not everything they sent. What's your take on your deck giving you the tower reversed three times in a row for these readings for them? I'm not super knowledgable about tarot and I'd love to hear whether or not you've experienced that sort of thing before.

For Sam? So when a card shows up for someone repeatedly in a short period of time, that does make a lot of sense. It’s a snapshot of their life or their emotional state at the time, so sometimes the deck is just going “yep, they’re still feeling happy, sad, in love, grief, etc.”

The Tower reversed makes me kind of sad for Sam because this has been showing up since last year after they wrapped filming, on and off in Jam readings for him. The Tower reversed is complicated because it can mean a couple different things- either catastrophe is about to strike, or it’s already fallen and you need to rebuild. Initially I thought the worst had already happened- they’d gotten in some sort of disagreement and Sam was piecing things back together. But now I’m wondering if it’s that they never had a conversation they really needed to have and he’s feeling the weight of all of that hanging over him.

What does Sam need from Jacob in order to move forward: The Tower reversed appeared. An evolution that’s been waiting to happen, a bandaid that’s been waiting too long to be pulled off. That conversation/plan/step forward Jacob has been putting off? Sam needs it to happen. No more someday. No more maybe. He needs something concrete.

What does Jacob need from Sam to move forward: The Hierophant. Traditions and structure. Apparently Jacob is always going to have a more traditional worldview than Sam in some ways. He needs Sam to meet him halfway and adopt some structures that make him feel safe.

How do you learn how to read tarot cards?

if I’m being honest? I fell head over heels for my wife when we first met and wanted to impress her. She was into witchblr and the like. I was like “yeah I definitely know what all that is.” I did not know what all that was.

So I started looking into it. I found out my grandmother was actually into the occult. Some of the things I’d been left behind from her were a crystal ball, some books. I did some additional research and learned she was pretty respected in her community. So I felt like I was bonding with her while I was learning about tarot.

I wish I had her deck but that was lost in the move and with her house being cleaned out, so I had to buy my own. Admittedly, I did not bond with my first deck very well. It was a non traditional deck- the suit of cups was replaced with another icon and I didn’t really like the guidebook. The deck I really learned a lot from was a deck my wife intended to use for herself, but it fell into my lap. We kind of took it as a sign it was meant to be my deck after I got a very clear reading off of it and she got an odd one. I worked with it over the years and refined my skills.

To do that I asked a lot of questions- I asked about my emotions, the world around me, my relationships, and for advice. I also learned how to ask better questions, and I looked at different ways to interpret the cards. A lot of tarot is “how do you ask better questions”. Be specific. And spend time bonding with your deck. I cannot stress enough that you need to respect your deck.

I’ve now been going for over 10 years.

Wasn't she in New York for the s1 premiere? I wasn't in the fandom back then but I remember an anon on some tea blog saying that she posted about being in New York around the time of the premiere.
