there was no question about it, bora bora was paradise. the bright sun, the beautiful sand and the warm water. there was so much to fixate on, so much to love. david had been reluctantly keeping a safeguard on his expectations, not wanting to be disappointed, but now that he was there, he was anything but. the island provided not just a wonderful vacation destination, but the perfect ambience for what he had planned. all day, he'd been half distracted, though he believes he played it off well. or at least, barbara didn't have any suspicions. if she did, she would have called him out by now. what a place to be with the one you love. and he did love her. more than he ever assumed to be a possibility. the women not only captured his heart, she also grapped onto his soul. he was hers in every way possible and most days he still couldn't believe that she had settled for him. occasionally, he would bring it up in casual conversation. how lucky he felt to have her. though she seemed entirely blindsided by his confessions and her oblivious nature never failed to make his heart skip a beat.
walking along the sand with their hands grasped together, he squeezed his own against her and smiled. the sun was settling now. a pale orange tinge lined the sky and nothing had ever felt so perfect. this was how it was with them. easy and honest. they never tried hard. everything simply fit into place. there was a comfort in that. knowing that no matter what happened, the simple things in life made all the chaos worth it. with his free hand stuffed into the pocket of his tan colour khakis, a closed fist circled the cube contained within. with adrenalin pumping inside his veins, the realisation dawned on his that no matter what happened here, his life would significantly change once he built up the courage to ask her. blue eyes turned in her direction. a curtain of silk, smooth hair framed her delicate face, dancing effortlessly in the small breeze. she was so beautiful. and his heart ached every time he caught a glimpse at her. "so, i didn't suggest we sneak away from the group just for a casual stroll." he spoke clearly, coming to a stop near the water with his eyes trained on her. "i actually wanted to ask you something." beating fast against his heart, david was momentarily convinced his heart was about to expload. but one smile from her and he felt his nerves dissipate. @infamousbarbara
Bora Bora was gorgeous, there was no doubt about that, and Barbara was amazed by how beautiful it was the moment she stepped foot off the plane and could see the waters that surrounded them. It was clearly paradise, and the fact that she was getting seven days here with her boyfriend, was everything to Barbara and she couldn't wait to spend time with David here, and do amazing things with him. Because the resort had a lot of fun things to offer, and Barbara knew they would have a fun time doing them, when they weren't just staying in bed in their villa that is. A thought that made her blush as she looked at David, which made her laugh a little at herself. But she was in the perfect place with the man that she loved more than anything, and nothing could be better than that. And she did love David more than anything, in fact, she didn't think it was possible to love someone the way that she loved him. He had her heart completely, and she was pretty sure they were soulmates because she felt a connection with him that she never felt with anyone else. With David, things just felt right, and when she looked at him, sometimes she couldn't help but fall in love with him more.
They were currently walking along the beach, feet in the sand and their hands tangled together, and Barbara smiled when David squeezed their hands, and she let out a happy sigh. The sun was starting to set, and honestly, Barbara could never get enough of sunsets in such gorgeous settings, so she was excited to see that. When David turned to look at her though, Barbara smiled instantly at him, and her attention was all on him, because whenever he spoke to her, her attention was always all on him. When he said that he didn't suggest they leave the group for a casual stroll, she just raised a brow and was about to ask why then, but then he stated he had a question and Barbara just smiled and nodded as they stopped near the water. "What did you want to ask me, baby?" She knew that whatever David had to ask her, she'd probably agree to, because there was nothing that David could ask her that she'd say no to, honestly, given how wrapped around his finger she was. And she was really curious about what he was wanting to ask her, especially since he looked a little serious about the question, but maybe it was something he was feeling shy about asking; maybe it was something he was worried she would say no to, so she just gave him another big smile to hopefully put him at ease. "You know you can ask me anything," she felt she should say, just in case.
