Salamence ( Vlad ): Vlad was the third and toughest catch Deuce has had up to date. Not only did he struggle to find her thanks to the rarity of her species, but fighting to weaken her took him weeks until she snapped and destroyed everything around her. Rutile (with the tiniest help of Dumm Dumm) miraculously managed to put up a good fight, so after Deuce decided it was enough, allowed his Staraptor to rest and recover while he tried to gain Vlad over by tending to its wounds and feeding her properly. Gave in after realizing Deuce wasnāt willing to give up.
Haxorus ( Atila ): Ā A mother who went to be by Deuceās side after her offspring got old enough to live by itself. Initially, they met when Deuce was only 13 years old and saved her Axew from another pokemon, thus gaining her trust and allowing him into her territory. Their relationship was pretty one-sided for several years, and even went on attacking him a few times, but ultimately it was his deep appreciation and respect that won her over. The last member to join the team regardless of how long they have known each other, and regularly uses her fangs to cut trees so Dumm Dumm can gnaw on them. Very motherly and protective.
Braviary ( Sioux ): The only male in the group and also the fifth member. Constantly bickering with Rutile in a not-so-lighthearted way. Was defeated by Vlad after being chased, but decided to join Deuce when he witnessed just how united Deuceās team was. One of Deuceās most loyal pokemon ever since, and the usual first to head into battle in order to win scars and consequentially, respect from his peers. Surprisingly, gets along with Atila.
Staraptor (Rutile): Deuceās first pokemon, a gift from his late mother but unfortunately for him, escaped as soon as it could so he had to chase him down and prove his worth, a task that took him two years and cost him the scars on his face. Evolved rather fast due to its violent tendencies and lack of āchillā. Seems to be attracted to red things and fruits. Likes getting petted and praised, something Deuce has no trouble with.
Zigzagoon ( June/Junior ): As expected from Ace, June was a gift he didnāt exactly like in the beginning, but was won over when he discovered just how playful, affectionate and caring she was. Doesnāt do well with isolation and constantly searches Dumm Dummās company, with whom sheās developed a sisterly-like relationship. Responds to both names, but has a little preference over Junior. Her hunger reminds him of Ace, so itās obvious Deuce has a big soft spot for her, no matter how hard he denies it. The fourth member.
Bidoof ( Dumm Dumm ): A troublesome girl who enjoys annoying and embarrassing Deuce. Not even he knows how she got into his life, but because of her tender, peaceful nature was taken in with open arms, always opting to cling on him instead of fighting. Rather clumsy and thrilled by new places, although she has a bad habit of gnawing on the first thing she sees when stressed. The friendliest one of the bunch. The second member.
