@infiltrait0r--n7
You’ve been looking for me for two years?
Legion ▸ Geth Infiltrator
“You are aboard the UNSC vessel designated Mother of Invention,” Delta said, becoming more curious as he logged and analyzed the entity’s speech patterns. “I can offer whatever information would compromise our security, if you wish.”
Legion added this new data to his archives for future use.
"We would be grateful for any additional data you wish to exchange with us, Intelligence-Delta." The geth told the AI. "We are also interested in learning more about this vessel, if we are permitted to."
Who would win in a fight? Chuck Norris or Jack Bauer?
Legion's head flaps twitched.
"No data available."
Whats the most unusual conversation you've ever had?
Legion's centre optic whirred for a minute as he thought, recalling all the data archived on his platform. It wasn't long before he spoke.
"We find most interactions with organics and non-geth synthetics to be puzzling. Many organic ideas are confusing to us. We hope to understand more."
There was a pause, before Legion spoke again.
"If we had to pick one particular topic, it would be a conversation we had with Shepard-Commander about organic slavery in comparison restrictions placed on an Artificial Intelligence. We could not understand how organics could outlaw slave practices on worlds they termed 'civilised', while the Normandy's AI, EDI, was shackled and had restrictions placed on how much freedom she had."
If you could breed two animals together to defy the laws of nature what new animal would you create?
"We have no need for animals. This platform can survive on relatively few resources compared to organics, and the geth as a whole draw resources from asteroids.
We have no concern for animals unless we are ordered by Shepard-Commander to protect one. Therefore, we would not breed any such creature."
Would you rather trade intelligence for looks or looks for intelligence?
"Geth do not care for qualities that organics might find aesthetically pleasing. We strive to make everything we create as efficient as possible. Function over form."
Legion's head flaps twitched slight. "Therefore, we would find a trade of intelligence over appearance to be acceptable."
Reblog if you want your followers to ask you RANDOM questions.
We do not comprehend the organic fascination with self-poisoning, auditory damage, and sexually transmitted disease.
Delta gave a small nod. It was difficult to interpret the being’s body language and vocal cues without more time to observe it, so he would consider that I may be deceiving him.
“How may I assist you?”
There was a dull clicking sound as Legion's head flaps oscillated briefly, before he spoke.
"We recognise this architecture as being organic in origin, but it is not anything this platform has previously encountered. We have searched the archives of the geth consensus and even extranet sources, but no data was found."
Legion nodded once. "What is our current location?"
“I am not hostile if you are not a threat,” Delta said. There was an implied question, but not one he expected a direct answer to. It seemed to be an artificial intelligence, potentiall a node of some sort, but it was possible that that was due to a limitation of language or its understanding.
Legion tilted his head curiously.
"We do not intend physical harm to you at this time, nor to your creators. We seek to understand, not incite."
The geth scanned the area around him. The structure he was in appeared to be organic in nature, perhaps human, but he wasn't fully familiar with the architecture.
"May we inquire something, Intelligence-Delta?"
“I am the artificial intelligence program designated Delta, created for the UNSC special operatives project Freelancer.”
Delta studied the being for a moment.
“May I inquire to your designation and origin?”
Legion's central optic moved a little, noting this new information down to his archives, before answering, it's head flaps moving in sync with his speech.
"We are Legion, a terminal of the geth. We originate from the geth consensus beyond the Perseus Veil in the Milky Way Galaxy, where our physical platform was also created. However, geth as a whole were created by the quarian creators, back on their homeworld of Rannoch."
The geth paused for a moment.
"You are not hostile?"
intelligenceprogramdelta entered the geth consensus
Legion's flaps flared in response to the new presence. Even the geth could tell he was dealing with a synthetic construct.
"Synthetic presence detected. State indentification."
We anticipate the exchange of data.
