More change, end of the year giving & wanna come with me to Transylvania? I just got an email from SFFILM (San Francisco Film) saying that they're ending their fiscal sponsorship program. (This is where they receive funds on my behalf - for my vampire documentary - and give donors a tax deduction receipt.) Lots of goodbyes the last few months. Being accepted in this program was a really big deal to me. I felt part of a community I admire. It felt like, "look, people who know what they're doing believe in me." A vital part of my identity and growth as a filmmaker. Now that I've grown a little and have a feature film under my belt, it's time to fly the coop. I am super grateful for their stamp of approval and for all the support they've given me so far. (and they're still in my corner. <3) Change is change and change is good, unless you believe in what my great-grandma used to say, "better the devil you know ..." you know how it goes. So if you have end of the year giving to give and want to support the arts, i.e. my vampire documentary post production & SFFILM, send me a private message, I'll tell you how it works. There is no minimum amount requirement. For any contribution, I'll send you something fun by mail or on social media or both. I thought it might be exciting to extend two of my Kickstarter rewards. (I did a fundraising campaign for the production of the documentary - i.e. filming in Romania while freezing my ass off in ruined castles and cemeteries - if you're been a part of that, OMG! I love you forever to the moon and back!). Now onto post production! The 2 juicy rewards: For $5K, you and a friend will have me as your personal tour guide in Transylvania. For a week. (You have to get yourself there and back.) Vampire/Strigoi encounters not guaranteed but I'll show you some hot spots and you will come back changed. Of that I am sure.
