It's always a great time to get together with my brother, sister and their spouses! We always have so much to say, the six of us. The birthday cake is covered with coloured #pear slices, and inside is a #Napoleon Torte. A pleasant surprise for Alvin.

Soup for the Burnaby Homeless! This is the first time I didn't go shopping with a certain soup in mind, and instead used what was in our fridge and freezer! So we have a chicken vegetable soup with carrots, brussel sprouts, sweet potatoes and more!

Scrabble Night again! Orange, carrot and mango gazpacho, plate of root vegetables, wild sockeye salmon stuffed with shrimp, over asparagus and mashed parsnips and sweet potato. Citrus cake to celebrate Wendy's birthday!

Soup for Burnaby Homeless. Someone requested #Mexican #Chicken #Avocado 🥑 #Soup again! So here it is! ENJOY!!

#Seared scallop on sweated spinach and topped with a #strawberry salsa. Next a half egg topped with mayo wasabi, #shrimp and pea shoots. Then #poppyseed coated chicken breast on top of a seasonal salad. And to end the meal, dessert of #coeur a la creme topped with red fruits. Enjoyed by all😋

So marina's Birthday is coming up and she asked for a Chocolate, Chocolate Mousse, and Mint Cake. Maybe a bit overdone, but it was yummy and very Chocolatey! Enjoyed by the Scrabble Group. Chocolate cake recipe from the book "DUCHESS BAKE SHOP".

So we had these beautiful sweet tomatoes left over, and I decide to make a cake for Eds Birthday. Turns out to be the weirdest cake I've made yet. It's a YELLOW HERITAGE TOMATO CHOCOLATE MOUSSE CAKE! I made a tomato jam, with a bit of hot chillies. Thanks to the homegroup... they're willing to try anything I make. The chocolatey part was great, but I won't make this version again. Tomato jam is great, but needs to be on crackers or baguette slices with some cheese.

Ethiopian dinner! I've never had this before! And now I've forgotten all the names. But it sure was tasty 😋. Subtle at first and then it hits you... all the spice and flavours. Chicken, lentils, cabbage and green beans. And we used our fingers and that strange spongy "bread". And the Rose' they picked up in the Okanogen was just perfect with it. Thanks for the lovely dinner Fred and Esther! Of course we let Esther win both Scrabble games!

Soup again... this time African Ground Nut Soup with Beef and Israeli Couscous. I blended a few recipes to come up with this.
