question: schedule?

To any readers who enjoy this blog and comic, please be patient with me.

with the way my health has been for years and how the doctors haven’t figured out what illness it is, I’ll be posting some short comics and other drawings for now until I decide to post the main comics here.

I’m trying not to stress myself out and keep in mind mental health is also important, so I plan is to keep this blog fun/creative as possible so I can continue to share with you all.

as for a schedule, when I start uploading the main official comic pages I plan to try to post ether every week/every other week:

Wednesday

Friday

or post maybe 2-3 comic pages a week depending.

questions and answers: why the name ?

why did I name my tumblr blog “the archives of the ink chronicles” instead of just the name of the comic ?

A: it’s kinda a play on words, ARCHIVE means “a collection of unique historical records, rare documents or physical/digital storage places used to preserve things of lasting value” .

but the ARC part in the beginning of the word also means “a distinct section of a larger plot, a character’s personal growth or a curved physical shape/place” .

Think of it like a creative double meaning, it stuck in my head years ago and I’ve used it ever since while making this world because it makes me laugh.

questions and answers: why is it only traditional?

do I use a drawing tablet /why is all my drawings traditional and not digital?

A: sadly I do not have a drawing tablet so I haven’t been able to practice drawing digitally, the only program I used to use briefly was paint on my old laptop.

I like traditional drawing, it is very fun. I have so many different alcohol markers that I love to switch between.

I do hope in the future I can draw my comics digitally but for now, I am happy to express and share my world with you all.

This world is for fun, I have so many ocs and world building ideas that I just added some to make this world. The exact date this au became official to the public would be aug/5th/2026.

2) what was inspiration for this world ?

a lot but mostly movies that are more adventure action based then spy fighting action movies.

I also used paint chip samples because of the names for inspiration prompts at times which was really fun to do.

I’m not going to lie, I used to greatly enjoy (not anymore) reading the blog “bendy and Boris: the quest for the ink machine” because of the art style and interesting ideas it has.

….

I do not agree nor support what “other things” are suggested with thegreatrouge.

I prefer to read the myth of the ink machine comic because it does the story justice, I loved the original plot but this version makes the comic/story more alive.

Ive been working on this world for years and finally was able to post about it, I had a lot of fun rewriting lore to make it all fit together.

3) to clarify! I started making this world back when I was in middle school around 2010 til today , so roughly 14 years. I’ve been revamping it here and there with rough ideas.

I’ve kept a lot of my original ideas for the plot and quests but wanted to add in an additional main quest to start the comic off, which I’m still working on since I was more focused on writing it out first.

I haven’t posted much about this world online simply because it was just meant for me but decided to share it and see how it goes.

the only ideas I used as inspiration from bendy and Boris quest comic for the ink machine was “the guide character role” and the idea “only 1 person can see the map” which makes for an interesting concept.

5) there are canon ships I had in mind for this au , if you want to ship charters with each other that don’t have a canon ship go for it but please remember any canon family relationships/siblings so don’t ship them together.

6) this world may have darker themed to it but that doesn’t mean I support/nor agree with any of them, it’s just a lot of movies/stories add them in to help world building , lore or character development.

I joined art fight 2026

Jointing art fight was a lot of fun, I sadly didn’t do as many as I wanted because of my health but I enjoyed being able to draw some amazing ocs from others.

Name: Trym 

The Old Norse name Trym (spelled Þrymr) comes from the Old Norse word meaning "noise," "uproar," or "crash." 

In Norse mythology, Trym is the king of the Jötnar (frost giants) who resided in Jötunheimr.

Trym is extremely short tempered, he won’t hesitate to punch anyone who isn’t a child/elderly/pregnant/friends or family.

He doesn’t talk much because he doesn’t care if others want a conversation with him but the moment he opens his mouth he is the loudest, sarcastic person known for soul-shattering insultings. 

He prefers to not engage with others because he knows he has a short-fuse, but those who push his button meet his fist before they finish a sentence. 

He is a belt to butt type of guy to those he thinks deserve his wrath. 

If others get to know him, they see he is a protective guy who sticks up for people that are being mistreated and will risk his life to help those he cares for no matter how hurt he gets. 

His close friends can tell when he is actually angry and when he is just being sarcastic with no malice behind his words. 

He enjoys eating grapes while sitting in lava or simply being lit on fire while taunting his enemies when he gets close enough to burn them.

From a silent , selective mute cat who communicates with a chalkboard or sign language to flirtatious gentlemen that could come across as a womanizer at times. 

He is a natural talent for show biz as he does for his acts in Thierry when a shiny gem appears before his eyes, his sneaky tendinitis help him get away with stealing shimmering jewels.

He is a talented sweet talker who can get out of a difficult conversation. 

He is known for being talented in various different styles of singing, dancing, acting and improv skills which he uses to his full advantage when needed.

He spends most of his days as a club singer or lounge singer depending on who pays him the most, often drawing in a crowd for his charming performance and charismatic aura. 

Just like with his talents, he doesn’t stop half way but goes full out when he dresses for the occasion, regardless if it’s in a suit and fancy shoes or a wig and a pair of heels.

Now he is a travel guide who helps younger adventurers through tough paths and uncharted territory, hoping to kept their sparks of discovery in this wonderful world.

He has a blog where he posts his writings and acknowledges his age may make him slow or unable to do some of the things he once was able too, but that still doesn’t stop him from diving head first when he finds a old scroll in a foreign language for hours on end as a researcher of history.
