The younger mutant doesn't notice him at first, as she looks through art supplies. But when she notices him she smiles.

" Hi Mr.Summers!" Then she notices his frown, and her tail lashes in anxiety. " ...Is everything okay?"

*Scott takes in all the signs of anxiety and furrows his brow. This isn’t how these kids should live. Their fight or flight shouldn’t kick in every time they see him upset. These kids shouldn’t have to fight.*

" Oh! Dad said I'm a big kid, so I can wander for a couple hours before he picks me up- you know what he's like" she says softly, a nervous smile.

It’s.. there’s just a soft lock down because the FOH is on the patrol again..

" The...FOH? That's.. that's an anti-mutant group, isn't it?" She says, immediately tensing up. She'd had her own struggles, battles with the small sect of anti-mutant groups in her hometown. Before she'd been rescued from that church cellar. Before she'd joined the school. Her hands reach back, pressing against the spot her wings once were.

" ...can we go back to the institute?"

Attention students and staff (and those who just hang around the school), I am organizing a trip to Build-A-Bear Workshop. All expenses will be covered and there is a sign up sheet taped to my office door if anyone is interested.

What's build a bear workshop?

Basically, it is a place where you can make your own stuffed bear. It isn't just bears though, don't worry. They have other stuff now too, like frogs.

Anyway, you get to pick out what you want, decide if you want it to speak, watch the workers stuff it, put a heart in it, and dress it up. It even comes with it's own birth certificate.

I think you'd enjoy it.
