I don’t mean to impose a personal favour on you guys, but I really would like to ask that everyone who follows me reblog this. 

I don’t think I made it very clear but last month I was sexually assaulted by someone who I thought was my friend (I don’t want to talk about it don’t ask), and it’s… really fucked with my head. 

Had I known this a month ago I would have been able to get away.

This is basically the first thing you learn about heart health in Nursing school, because men tend to not go get help when they experience symptoms, until it’s too late. And women don’t really have any method of prevention besides being aware of these symptoms, but are more likely to seek help from a physician.

My mother had a heart attack last november and didn’t even know it.  It’s because we didn’t know these symptoms.  If she hadn’t gone to the hospital to check things out, her heart would have gotten worse (she needed surgery) and she would have died.
