Welcome Folks, you are about to read my first Blog. I am a touring enthusiast and riding different Motorcycles and Cars is my passion and therefore i am here flashing lights on the motorcycle which i own and have covered almost 20,000 kms.

Here we go with........... Mahindra Mojo

5 years of research & development to unleash Mojo by Mahindra. The only Indian manufacturer who competes the Moto-3 World Championship, a stepping stone to MotoGP. I feel it is the most underrated bike of the Nation and there is a lot to like in this bike. Starting from the front upside down forks (USD), it is so rugged and capable enough to handle any potholes and off-roads, looks stunning with that golden paint. The LED tail lamp which glows and match perfectly with its tail section. Stubby dual exhaust which makes a perfect sound something you won't see in a single cylinder engine decreasing the ground clearance a bit. Flat Pirelli Diablo Rosso 2 tyres which is again segment first for that perfect grip - no matter what road you choose to drive, the instrument cluster with all necessary information's on screen with that blue and red back-light adds that premium element especially riding at nights, and the list just goes on.

This sporty naked is sure enough to turn heads undoubtedly despite of unconventional looks and mismatch of sorts. I am not sure how many of you know that the first ever Mahindra showcased the Mojo on race track to the world and that evidence still rests with that racing DNA within. 295cc single cylinder liquid cooled engine generating 27 BHP @ 8000 RPM with that peak torque of 30 NM at just 5500 RPM coming out from 4 valves is just "wow". These figures are sure enough to cruise on highway with ease and overtaking is a "Piece Of Cake". Engine delivers power in smooth and linear fashion with no tiresome noise and heat. Cooling system works really well even in hot summers and in stop go city traffic. The engine revs are restricted at 9000 RPM. The level of refinement especially with engine and the overall built quality is top notch. 

People now loves long touring on their beasts and Mojo stands perfectly in this segment with that massive fuel tank capacity of 21 liters which you normally don't see in quarter liter motorcycles. This motorcycle has got 1465 mm of wheelbase. Yes, longer than Kawasaki's H2, rear mono shock suspension travelling 143 mm and a creamy gearbox for that calm and still driving experience, pushing the weight of the bike to 186 KGs. The suspension setup is best in class, neither too soft nor too stiff providing perfect ride comfort. Additionally the ergonomics are nice and you get to sit in good upright position not harming your back in hours of journey. Braking is taken care by massive 320 MM front disc and 240 mm at rear along with Pirelli Rosso 2 tyre setup but lacks ABS even as an option letting the bike to control not with ease at high speeds with sudden braking. But once you get addicted with its riding style, it doesn't bother you much. 

Mahindra Mojo has a real taste of racing pedigree that has put India on MotoGP map. Mahindra has converted the genetic code from sports to touring by which the Mojo stands out in the crowd. However company still lacks to do a sort of marketing and to reveal the bike in all states resulting into less service centers. But one cannot just avoid this bike if he loves touring and also can switch themselves from Royal Enfield which you now you see one from every five motorcycles on road. Also it lacks some basic necessity like tubeless tyres. I am an Ex-owner of Enfield and of course that bike has it own SWAG but i can differentiate many things unlike others with full due respect to my Enfield brothers.

At last i would like to say that Mahindra has set a benchmark by unleashing Mojo with "N" number of specs and that serious road presence, you just have to step forward to put your hands on Mojo before buying any touring motorcycle.
