What I love and hate about analog cameras is that every camera has a slightly different shooting process, it’s own tricks and tips, pros and cons, which are to get used to them and memorised. My Pentacon Six could randomly give 8-11 exposures instead of 12 and open up in bag by itself. With Mamiya C33 you had to additionally drive the release lever down after winding, that’s why only a single shot was exposed on my first film from it (shown in post). With Bronica, I loaded the film upside down my first time with it – all exposures were “taken” on backing paper. And so on. Although, with all difficulties, I love the result and feedback, so I keep going on. I have drawn four most memorable cameras I had – with backgrounds being shots taken with them.
