stupid ass freak i put him in a generic yandere visual novel and lo and behold he fits in perfectly
I think where a lot of people miss with understanding Prime's early character is by conceptualising him as an inherently sadistic individual rather than a deeply traumatized 15 year old child who lost everyone he ever loved in favour of those who he, ultimately, did not see as real humanized individuals surviving in their place. Prime is very dissatisfied with the concept of fate and chance itself and overcompensates through the extreme levels of violence and possessiveness he exhibits over what he deems 'his' (the mantle Superboy and Laurie comes to mind first) in order to not lose them.
