The Trailer is here!
After months of waiting, the trailer dropped. It was phenomenal! I have things, I want to say but there is so much to unpack, so many emotions and I wanted to watch it with pure emotion instead of being analytical. So I am going to grab a note pad and watch again.

Season 5 Speculation: Bunker
I have been pondering the bunker since the end of season 4. With 1200 people who all have the chance to be a major player. Most of my speculation on this situation I’m not as confident on as the prisoner ship and space.
The initial situation in the bunker is going to volatile between clans. Azgeda and Trikru have a long standing feud and being in close quarters is not going to help that. Not to mention that there are going to be hard feelings towards Skaikru because of Allie. This is going to make or break Octavia as the Commander.
That being said, I have a strong feeling that Octavia is still going to be Commander when season 5 rolls around. She will smartly include Marcus and Indra in her inner circle. If she is smart she will include someone from Azgeda.
Azgeda is still going to play a role in the bunker even with Roan “dead” and Echo up in space. Someone will have to step up and lead Azgeda. Since the Azgeda royalty title goes through family, there is a strong chance that we will meet a brother or sister of Roan.
I have been strongly hoping for a Kabby baby but I think there is going to be turmoil between everyone’s favorite adult couple. Abby was dead set on dying with Primfaya and Marcus made the decision to keep her. That is going to make for a very angry Abby.
The bunker was only meant to hold 1200 people for 5 years. We know that 6 years and 7 days have gone by which means that some very hard decisions are going to be made in the bunker. 1200 people went into the bunker, 1200 people will not be going out. Since Isaiah Washington is not returning as a series regular more than like Jaha will sacrifice himself.
I think Octavia is going to find herself on the other side of tough decision making. I think the bunker will be Ark-like in the fact that rules are going to be extremely cut and dry. Octavia was on the wrong end of those types of decisions now she is going to have to make the,
Season 5 Speculation: Space
Season 4 ended with Bellamy, Raven, Echo, Emori, Murphy, Monty, and Harper back up to the remnants of the Ark.
I think the biggest challenge they will face is getting the Ark back up and running so that they can survive for the next five years, well six years. With both Raven and Monty aboard those challenges will be easily solved even if it takes some time.
Obviously there is the challenge of getting themselves back down to Earth. It is hard to say what was left back up on Ark after the adults jettisoned from it and my lack of familiarity with rocket science to determine how they will get back to Earth. I just know they will. Bellamy
Bellamy is going to naturally fall into the leadership position. He will only follow those whom he deems worthy even if the logic of it is shaky (*cough*Pike*cough*). Even when he follows, he is still given some type of position of authority. I do think he will move on from Clarke after a period of mourning. My best guess is that he will be romantically involved with Raven. Even though he kept her from killing herself, he doesn’t trust Echo after all the stuff she has pulled. Plus she attempted to kill Octavia twice, that isn’t something I could see him getting over. Of course he could just pull a threesome with both Raven and Echo. Raven
Raven will also fall into a leadership position more specifically when it comes to keeping the Ark up and running. As I stated I can see her and Bellamy becoming romantically involved but part of me hopes that her, Murphy, and Emori form a poly relationship. Echo
Echo is going to go through a rough transition up on the Ark. It is going to be a complete culture shock for her. Her role in Azgeda was basically spy/assassin and there is no need for one of those in space. There is also no one up there with the exception of Emori that can spar with her. I can see her training the others in weapons and fighting as a means to pass the time. I could see her possibly with Bellamy but honestly she will stay unattached. Monty
Monty is going to be instrumental in getting a hydroponic farm up and running on the Ark again. He was from farm station so he knows the system best. Also being an engineer, he is going to be Raven’s right hand man in keeping things running. I can’t foresee him with anyone but Harper so I am going to go with him and Harper still being together. Harper
Harper’s job was to be on the guard and like Echo there is currently no need for her job. I can see her as being one of the first ones to train with Echo. I can see her doing a lot of odd jobs and assisting Monty with things. Murphy
Murphy has shown that he has some culinary skills so he will probably end up being the group’s chef. Though pretty much Murphy wants to do what Murphy wants to do and that will probably lead to him and Bellamy bumping heads on occasion. Him and Emori are cut from the same cloth so I can’t see him gelling with anyone else except maybe to let Raven into their duo. Emori
I see Emori becoming less Grounder and more Skaikru. Judging by her reactions to Raven floating, I can see her going on some space walks of her own, learning new things from her. I can see her shying away from the group, turning to Murphy on how to act until she finds her footing.
Season 5 Predictions-Mystery Ship
The end of season 4 we were greeted with a space ship, not the one carrying Bellamy and Co, but rather a different one bearing the name Eligius Mining Company and Gagarin Prisoner Transport.
Thanks to some sharp eyed viewers, this is not a complete mystery. We learned in “Tinder Box” that Becca first designed night blood for the Eligius Mining Company to use on prisoners for long term mining expedition. They would put the prisoners in hyper sleep and they were injected with nightblood for the solar radiation.
In the episode “Echoes” if you look on the screen behind Raven, you see an article about how they lost contact with an Asteroid Mining Penal Colony that is living in space.
Here are my thoughts and predictions
1.This is the missing asteroid mining penal colony from “Echos”. Eligius Mining Company is named after St. Eligius, the patron saint of Metalworkers. Asteroids contain quite a bit of precious metals.
2. Gargarin Prisoner Transport: Prisoner transport is another way to say penal colony. It is also named after Yuri Gargarin, the first man in space. I would venture to say that this is the maiden voyage for the company. 3. Since this was a prisoner ship from before the first primfaya, this wasn’t filled with mischievous teenagers, petty thieves, and those who have had the misfortune of being born second. These are hardened criminals which will prove problematic for Clarke and Madi, especially since born nightbloods are rare so even if there are more than just Clarke and Madi, it won’t be enough.
4. We know that these prisoners are nightbloods so radiatios will not be a problem for them. This won’t be a Mount Weather situation where they will be confined to a specific area. 5. We don’t know if they have been in hyper sleep the whole time and whether or not they were given any type of weapons. Since this was a penal colony there were some type of guards on board who would have weapons. My best guess is weapons will be in short supply on the ship but on the flip side, I don’t think Clarke is heavily armed either. 6. As we can see from the ending of season 4, that most of Earth is a barren wasteland with some green areas. This makes food and shelter in short supply especially if Clarke is waiting for 1200 plus people to join her. This is going to be the crux of the problem between Clarke and the prisoners, a fight for resources. Since the bunker is currently buried under Polis so the hydroponic farm is not an option and I’d imagine the prisoners were sent with specific amount of food, the only options for food will be what is on Earth. 7. I do know that based on interview with Jason Rothenberg, that Bellamy and company are not on that ship and at the start of season 5, they are still in space. 8. Since the writers of “The 100″ love parallels we are going to get a taste of how the Grounders felt when the original hundred made it to the ground through the eyes of Clarke and others.

I have been meaning to sit down with my predictions and wishes for season 5 but between end of the school year for my kids and I have been ill. Hopefully this week.
