Welcome to the main blog for the Instability Au!

In this universe, after Toriel left, Asgore and Rudy ended up getting together.

They had a daughter named Snowbell, who became the princess of the Underground.

Frisk fell and completed a Neutral Route, killing Asgore in the end. Snowbell then vowed to complete Asgore's plan to destroy humanity.

However there was one problem. Alphys and her assistant discovered that absorbing the human souls would destroy the vessel due to the amount of power. Whoever broke the barrier, would die.

So Snowbell had to make a choice. Sacrifice someone for the good of everyone else, or keep everyone safe but never be free.

And if she makes that sacrifice, how much more is she willing to give up to meet her goal?

Here's a height comparison that I made in 2018.

This was before I started fleshing out the AU, so it features characters' original designs as well as a couple characters that aren't part of this AU like Opal and Torin (Who are now part of my @instability-au ) as well as Ari, Cora, and Garamond.

What does Toriel think about Snowbell? Does she even know she exists at all?

Toriel learns about Snowbell after she takes the throne. Toriel is just as disgusted with her as Asgore, and later helps form a rebellion against her after the barrier is broken.

Does Noelle/Dess exist in this Au?

Dess does, but not Noelle. Carol and Rudy divorced when Dess was younger, and Carol has held that against Rudy. Things got worse once Snowbell was born. While she still allowed Rudy to see Dess, she didn't want Dess meeting Snowbell. She feels right in her decision once Snowbell goes off the deep end in trying to avenge Asgore.
