((I’m not reliable. And I’m certainly not the best writer out there. You lot of beautiful people deserve someone who won’t abandon you like I did… Someone who can keep up and keep you satisfied.

Tear, Tali, you two were the first people to accept me into an RP community, and I gave up.

Our Aladdin-ship will probably be my second favorite pairing for the rest of forever.

And Anna. I still shotaship a little bit. ;w; But… I just don’t know if I can do this…

I don’t want to say ‘I’ll be back’ when I don’t know if I’ll stick with it. That’s not fair to any of you.

Natalia nearly laughed when she fell into the water, instead closing her eyes tight. There was no salt in this water, but the movement was instinctive. When she finally managed to wrestle him above water she called out, “Cheater! Cheater!” But no matter which way she struggled, she couldn’t seem to get her arms free. So she changed her tactic, placing her feet on the wall, and pushing off, knocking him backwards into the water.

She managed to free her wrists then, and jump back to the surface, gliding back and away from him.

Jay shook his head, trying to get the little bit of water from his ears as he resurfaced and full on laughed at the scenario. Surprising to hear from him, actually. He was so distracted by this, that he really was having a good time.

"It's not cheating," he replied. "It's good strategy!"

Natalia had stopped, coming up for air just long enough to see how far behind her Jay was. And the answer was: not as far as she had hoped. He was actually catching up with her rather quick. She scream-giggled and dived back into the water, shooting for the other side. The downside to this little fight was that she didn’t know the area as well as Jay, which gave him a slightly larger advantage than her. She decided to put everything into a surprise attack.

She jumped up, water spraying everywhere, and used both hands to send a giant wave of water droplets at Jay. To be even more lady like, she let out a loud “RAH” to accent her attack.

He did indeed have a much more extensive knowledge of the area than she did, which is what gave him a good upper hand when he noted her footing just a few feet off from the deeper end of the springs.

Jay smirked and guarded his eyes through the wave of water, diving at her right after, arms extended as he tackled her right into the deeper waters.

Jay had opened his mouth to protest her obvious action, only to be met with a mouth full of spring water and a slight stumble backwards. After wiping the water from his eyes, Jay chuckled, shaking his head.

Oh, so that was her game, huh? His own eyes narrowed and his lips quirked up into a smirk as he slid into the water now too. “Tricky, Natalia,” he said, leaning forward to hold his own hands under the water. “Very tricky.” Jay splashed the princess right back, still chuckling under his breath.

Natalia screamed as water hit her face, holding up her hands to block it too late. She swiped her hand from the side, sending a pitiful splash toward him, and ducked under the water, swimming away from him. If there was one thing she could do better than him it was swim. No one living in the Mediterranean Baticul grew up without learning to swim. And a princess always strived for excellence.

He was actually smiling now, taking this moment to whip his hoodie off and toss it by his shoes before diving right in after her. Sure, Natalia might be a better swimmer, but that still didn't mean he couldn't give a good chase, right?

If her goal was to distract him from his previous state of mind, she was succeeding. Jay was now more concerned with the war his friend had started than anything else.

Ah. The Princess tears out his heart and he vows to celibacy. I think you should call her out on her lies that she doesn't love you and go live happily ever after.

Natalia pulled off her long boots and tights, tossing them to the side, and slipping into the water, from her waist up, facing Jay, and grinning. She cupped her hands in the water and grinned widely at him, giving him a chance to respond. But before he could, she swung her hands and splashed him in the face.

With a high pitched giggle she dived backwards, trying desperately to get away from him.

Natalia took the lead then, as she usually did, and led him into the vent. But she didn’t take him to the village. His not!parents would understand that she took him out. What he needed was not solitude, but fresh air and distractions. So instead she took him to the freshwater springs.

Indeed, the air and the springs would do him good. It was always a nice place to sit comfortably and think. Something about the scene just worked. She'd known that this was a good and safe place.

So when they finally arrived, Jay managed to pull his hand from hers and moved to the water's edge. letting out a sigh, he plopped right down and began unlacing his shoes. Dangling his feet in the water would at least help the swelling go down from all that running earlier.

The water was cool, refreshing really. And he did manage a very faint smile. Though he wasn't sure what to say to his friend. Silently, he motioned for her to join him.

“Yes, of course. Lead the way.” She walked after him, keeping her perfect posture, plans forming rapidly in her head. With that one announcement her entire being had changed from frightened maiden to determined queen. And when Natalia got an idea in her head, only the destruction of the score could change it.

When the two of them finally exited the forest, gaining their first sights of the clear earth, Natalia had already formed a pitch to the counsel. Confident that she could now do something about this horrendous situation they faced, she stepped forward, taking Jay’s hand, and holding too tight for him to pull away.

“This one is for me.” She was telling the truth. She wanted to make sure he was okay. She still felt like he was slipping away from her.

There was a faint redness to his complexion when she took him by the hand, he didn't struggle against it. Rather, he returned the gesture with a gentle squeeze. "Natalia…" he breathed out, a little amazed that she was still here. "Thank you."

Jay had no notion of what she was planning, and that was alright for once. For the first time in years, he didn't care to know everything. Right now, he needed to keep a clear head, lest his mind wander back to the destructive thoughts of years long since passed. He would be fine, in time.
