❛ plan’s a bust! ❜ they lost control of the situation and kevin can’t figure out where they went wrong. everything had been meticulously planned and every inch of the area had been canvassed over the past week or so. there should have been no margin for error. yet he still finds himself pushing his foot into the ground to gain speed as he races toward his co-worker and friend. ❛ get down! ❜ he leaves no time for jay to respond as a red dot appears -- with as much force as he can, he shoves jay by the shoulders and is about to dive that way when a loud bang resonates around them and a sharp sting rips through his side. collapsing to the ground, atwater manages to crawl the rest of the distance and camps beside halstead. ❛ where the hell is everyone? ❜ kevin grits his teeth and presses a hand to his side, inhaling sharply. ❛ we gotta stay put. ❜
