The Caine fan art is finally done!! (With the mechanical brain 👀👀) I'll be putting it beneath the cut since I feel like TADC ep9 is still recent enough to warrant a spoiler tag. (And I also don't know any other way to spoiler images here lol)

It took me I think 2 weeks almost to finish this, largely because I haven't had much time since I've been working HARD. And I've been getting accustomed to using a mouse! I did the sketch on my phone, and then I lined and rendered it on my laptop since that proved to be easier/more efficient than doing it all on mobile.

I'll probably post a speedpaint of this soon!

Fanart WIP and an analysis/retrospective!

This might've genuinely been one of the LONGEST sketch phases I've ever done for ANY of my art. I've said it before, and I'll say it again: I LOVE DRAWING MECHANICAL DETAIL.

A lot of things about episode 9 surprised me. Upon rewatching episodes 1-8, I've noticed a lot of things that were set up but didn't pay off, wrap up logically, etc. I'm glad that Gooseworx ended the show the way she wanted to, but I feel like it could've been better. This isn't to say the show, or the finale, sucks but there is some real criticism to be held about TADC as a show, and people need to allow that criticism to be heard. Otherwise, not only will Gooseworx not have as much of an opportunity for improvement, but other people who want to create shows will make the same mistakes.

If I had to say how I feel about the show as a whole now, I would say that I enjoyed it; it was entertaining. I thought there were some really great character moments (Gangle in the fast food Ep, Kinger in Ep 8, Ragatha in Ep 2, etc). And despite its flaws, I think TADC ended up being a really pivotal piece of media in not only indie animation but the broader animation industry. Even if you don't like the show, it's hard to disagree that TADC is something that can be learned from, whether it be through the show's messages themselves (positively or negatively) or its technical achievements.

I'm looking forward to seeing how this matures since our perceptions of media change over time. As of right now, it feels too fresh for anyone (including me) to have a proper retrospective.

College is so baffling to me sometimes. Like tell me why my homedog is all "my mom tracks my purchases and won't let me buy online" bitch you moved out years ago and you work for your money, take your ass to the bank and get her off your account!! Buy stuff online if you want to! No one can stop you! YOU ARE NOT HELPLESS!!!

I swear to god, man, this shit actually pisses me off. It's like people forget that if you're not dependent on your parents and you're a legal adult, you can literally do whatever you want. I don't get how some people are so used to being complacent that they forget they are at the wheel, not the passenger seat. Maybe it's because I've been on my own for so long and never had any qualms to rebel if it objectively benefitted me. And whoever reads this, don't throw no "oh well, maybe they were abused–" like that's an excuse. THE CALL IS COMING FROM INSIDE THE HOUSE. I was abused!! For 13 years!!

IT TOOK ME MONTHES but I finally finished my Sneo design. It had to be perfect you know ?

The only ramble I'll do here is that Sneo is often depicted without strings, but for me removing that aspect defeats the whole thing. It's power is illusion based on Spamton's delusion. Or well it is powerful, but not "heaven" powerful.

I had a dream last night that Jeff the Killer kidnapped Bubbles from Powerpuff Girls but not for any nefarious reason, just because he thought she was cool. So obviously, I had to draw this for fear of being murked
