R U L E S

 As of now, I roleplay with mutuals only. Basically, if I ain’t following you and you drop me a inbox prompt or reply to an open starter or whatever, you’re probably gonna get ignored. Just the way things are.

 Don’t expect swift replies from me. Back in the day, I used to compare myself to my partners a lot and get stressed out over the speed of my replies to the point that roleplaying felt like a chore and I hated what I produced. No more! I’ll reply in my own damn time, damn it. I’m here to have fun!

Please do not assume that Toad is in or out of Glamour especially if your muse is a non-Fable. Check with me via PM or whatever if you like but it’s very unlikely I’ll ever have Toad interact with mundies while devoid of Glamour. It’s, like, super duper illegal. Way, way, way more illegal than just lounging about out of Glamour. Toad’s careless but he ain’t that careless.

Oh, and all the regular stuff: Don’t Godmod. Don’t assume you know my muse based off your own perception of the canon character. Don’t be an arse.

I always imagine Toad's relationship to the Trip Trap crew as similar to Jack with him showing up every now and then and having this kind of assumption that he's part of the group but he's... really not...

It's very in line with Mr Toad in WITW, I think, where he was barely friends with Rat, had only just met Mole and, if I recall correctly, was only associated with Badger because Badger was friends with his dad.

Toad is absolutely that one guy that you only see at group events who he calls you his friend, and you get along alright but you would never hang out with him one-on-one.

“No, we bloody well don’t!” Toad retorts like she’d said something very insulting to him. “Wonderland's nowhere near where I’m from! Hardly!”

Mr Toad sets his glass down firmly. “... Do you... even know where I’m from...?!”

the choice between going to the cut above or lucky pawn first in episode 4 is rude as hell because YES the cut above IS the logical option for bigby's investigation but IF you go there first you miss out on the ABSOLUTE PEAK interaction between toad and jack at the lucky pawn

weird thing is that even in the big hype era of this community i don't remember EVER having a consistent jack horner to write with?? which is WIIIILD because we had a whole host of comic only characters and even a goddamn tiny tim and johann lol

i literally had to resort to just name dropping jack to assert that him and toad were pals lol and i'll DO IT AGAIN

“Lay low, lay low, lay low! All us non human lookin’ folk do is lay low, waitin’ fer shit to get better… but it never fuckin’ does!” Toad fumes, glaring up at the sheriff. “It isn’t fair, Bigby!”

Mr Toad is apparently in a foul enough mood to push his luck with the Wolf and, my, what a big mouth he has…

“An’ don’t even try ta pretend like you an’ Miss White give two shits ‘bout my problems! It’s humiliatin’, you know – Takin’ handouts from the business office? I ain’t some bleedin’ charity case so you can feel like you’re helping.”

… Which was not to say that he wouldn’t accept the help – Just that he wouldn’t be happy about it...
